Initial Comment:
I don't have a distcomps file.  Never have.  mh-redistribute always worked.  I have an identity that fixed
problems with the lack of From: with nmh 1.5.  mh-redistribute doesn't work, however.

With this config:

   '(mh-identity-default "Home")
   '(mh-identity-list (quote (("Home" (("From" . "\"Kevin Layer\" <layer <at> known.net>"))))))

redist doesn't work.  From strace'ing emacs, I see

15628 writev(2, [{"post", 4}, {": ", 2}, {"message has no Resent-From: head"..., 34}, {"\n", 1}], 4) = 41

messages are silently dropped on the floor.  Nothing in the *MH-Log* buffer.  No error pop ups.  Nada.

This is a very serious bug, one that resulted in real data loss.  I've been doing redistributes for a while
since running on nmh >= 1.5 and I never noticed they weren't getting to their intended recipients.
