[mew-int 02048] cronjob gen of the .mew-summary?

is there an easy way to have .mew-summary files updated
every night?

inbox isn't a problem, it's more the sent and trash that i
check every few weeks and it usually takes a bit for the
summary to get built

[mew-int 02049] Mew 4.2.52

Hello all,

I have released Mew version 4.2.52:
	ftp://ftp.mew.org/pub/Mew/beta/mew-4.2.52.tar.gz

The highlight of this version is as follows:

* "i" is now equivalent to "s" + "update" in remote folders.
Note that mew-use-retrieve has been obsoleted.

* Bcc:/Fcc:/Dcc: of a message in +queue is now displayed with X-Mew:.

* Drag-and-Drop composing now works for Meadow like Emacs on Unix.

* "li" and "mli" copy (a) message(s) to an IMAP server side.

* You can now use "I" in Thread mode.

Enjoy!

[mew-int 02050] no longer C-c C-y?

hallo everybody,

i installed the newest version of mew and received several .rtf documents as
attachments. until now i was used to open them with C-c C-y and then enter an
appropriate program (e.g. oowriter) but now this option is no longer
available. is this a fault or a feature.
right now it seems not to work for me anymore.

p.s. i don't want to install rtf2html, because it doesn't work with german umlauts.

as always all your help is highly appreciated

Why don't you set mew-prog-application/rtf?

(setq mew-prog-application/rtf "oowriter")

It is still useful to be able to open a document in different
applications. For example sometimes I want to see what something
looks like in xpdf and acroread. Sometimes it is useful to open
something in gnumeric and openoffice. Another example is the ability
to open video in different video players.

I think that this feature should be left in there.

I think you don't understand that you can execute any application with
C-uC-cC-e.

[mew-int 02054] Re: no longer C-c C-y?

No, I didn't know that, I actually haven't installed the latest
version yet - the one I have works well :)

However that is still one extra keystroke. Is C-cC-y used for
something else?

The ' <at> " mark was obsoleted and the '*' mark inherits its
functionality. For more information, see info.

I guess you are using mew-mark-multi in .emacs or .mew. You should
remove it.
