Biggest Fake Conference in Computer Science

We are researchers from different parts of the world and conducted a study on the world’s biggest 
bogus computer science conference WORLDCOMP  http://sites.google.com/site/worlddump1 
organized by Prof. Hamid Arabnia from University of Georgia, USA.

We submitted a fake paper to WORLDCOMP 2011 and again (the same paper with a modified title) to 
WORLDCOMP 2012. This paper had numerous fundamental mistakes. Sample statements from that 
paper include: 

(1). Binary logic is fuzzy logic and vice versa
(2). Pascal developed fuzzy logic
(3). Object oriented languages do not exhibit any polymorphism or inheritance
(4). TCP and IP are synonyms and are part of OSI model 
(5). Distributed systems deal with only one computer
(6). Laptop is an example for a super computer
(7). Operating system is an example for computer hardware

Also, our paper did not express any conceptual meaning.  However, it was accepted both the times 
without any modifications (and without any reviews) and we were invited to submit the final paper 
and a payment of $500+ fee to present the paper. We decided to use the fee for better purposes than 
making Prof. Hamid Arabnia richer. After that, we received few reminders from WORLDCOMP to pay 
the fee but we never responded. This fake paper is different from the two fake papers already published 
(see https://sites.google.com/site/worlddump4 for details) in WORLDCOMP.

We MUST say that you should look at the above website if you have any thoughts of participating in
WORLDCOMP.  DBLP and other indexing agencies have stopped indexing WORLDCOMP’s proceedings 
since 2011 due to its fakeness. See

Problem with Unicode characters

Hello
As I already said, when I use Farsi characters in the welcome message of my 
mailing list, the characters are not shown correctly. only peculiar numbers 
are shown instead. You can see an example of the welcome message here. 
unfortunately I don't have access to Cpanel\3rdParty\Mailman installation 
folder. I don't think my host will cooperate in solving the problem either. 
Is there any way I can address the issue by myself?

Question about translation of PO file

Hi there
I know I should ask this question from Mahyar Moghimi, and I have already asked him, but since he is on new
year's holidays and 
can't reply soon , I ask it here. I tried to translate a part of
mailman.po

Into Farsi language.  I attached the translated part here as a text file. I only translated short and
important phrases now, not 
long ones. Now I have 2 questions:
1- Am I writing the translations in the right positions?
2- How can I test to see if the translations are working rightly?

I have already read the How-to-translate guide, but I got confused because there were lots of various
guides and some of them where 
not clear enough.

I need Farsi language

Hi everybody
I am happy to join your mailing list.
I recently installed a mailing list on my website. The Python version on my website is 2.1.1.5. I need to
choose Farsi (Persian) 
language as the default language of the mailing list, but this option is not available among the currently
available languages. I 
saw Persian in the list of your available languages table, but I wonder how I can use this language for my
website. I appreciate 
your help. I am not very well acquainted with Python mailing list system.

Here's a summary of the most user and developer visible changes:

 * Python 2.7 is now required.  Python 2.6 is no longer officially
supported.

 * The canonical resource for a mailing list in the REST API now uses
its list-id by default instead of its posting address.  For backward
   compatibility, you can still reference a mailing list by its posting
   address.  However the list-id is more stable since it will not
change.

 * REST API change: The JSON representation for held messages has
changed to a more flat representation.

 * You can now specify a list style to use when creating a mailing list
   through the REST API.

 * The `subject_prefix` attribute of mailing lists can be get/set
through the REST API.  Thanks to Terri Oda.

 * Membership change moderation (subscriptions and unsubscription
requests) are available through the REST API.

 * `list_id` is added to the JSON representation for a mailing list.
Thanks to Jimmy Bergman.

 * User resources are expanded in the REST API.  You can change a user's
   display name or password, and you can now verify their password
through REST by posting the plain text password and checking the HTTP
response code.

 * Addresses can now be verified and unverified through the REST API.

 * Some changes have been made to the configuration file format.
   - [passlib]path is renamed to [passlib]configuration
   - [mta]configuration names a separate file to configure Postfix
   - The default style is now called `legacy-default`, and a
`legacy-announce` style has been added.  You can select the system
default style through via the [styles]default configuration.

 * More database schema cleanups, in both the ban table and the
mailinglist table.

 * Changes in the options for the `bin/mailman aliases` command.

 * Lots of other bug fixes.

Re: German Localization

 Hello,
 It shouldn't be a completely new translation, only an improvement (in 
 our opinion).
 In the current version, there are not-translated segments, false 
 translations, mistakes in grammar and orthography and maybe mistakes in 
 the consistency.
 Our work will include a lot of quality assurance and an increasement of 
 the accessability...the second part is more important...a little 
 example:
 No one here (neither me) has known, what "bounce processing" is (its 
 actually translated with "Bounce-Erkennung"). Now, i know what it 
 is...but i had to read in wikipedia. You know what i mean? We think, its 
 possible to found everytime a term in the target language to explain for 
 everyone, whats exactly meant.

Finnish localization

Hey all,

I've been in touch with Joni Töyrylä, the former champion of the Finnish 
localization of Mailman. He told me he's been inactive with the project 
for a while now, and if someone would like to take his part, he'd be 
more than happy. So here I am, willing to take charge of the Finnish 
localization of Mailman.

My localization history: I did a few hundred lines in Launchpad for 
Ubuntu a couple of years ago, and still am a member of the Ubuntu 
Finnish Translators team. I've had some silent time from Ubuntu since I 
haven't got a desktop version of it installed at the moment, only a 
server version. Also I've translated a couple of little programs 
(Asunder and ISOMaster) a few years ago, and am still maintaining those 
translations.

I took contact with Joni because I found a few mistakes in the Finnish 
localization. Since Joni asked me to take over, I took a better look at 
the files, and noticed so many flaws that I decided to start from 
scratch. My time is limited because of my family (wife, two kids and a 
dog) and job, so don't expect anything soon, I'm at the moment up to 5% 
on the .po and almost on the half on the templates.

I have only one question at this point: To whom do I send the files when 
I'm done?
