This means that M failed to get them from server for some reason...

I don't know :-( You're not the first one having troubles with web.de and
as I don't have an account on it (someone promised to create me one but
either he never did or I completely forgot everything about it -- I think
the former), it's difficult to test. This server is rather unique: you
should realize that this is *not* an IMAP server in spite of what it says
because SEARCH is a _mandatory_ part of the IMAP protocol and a server
simply can't not support it.

"Mail system internal data" on pop3-folder

Hello,

after upgrading from 0.64 to M-latest from 11.03.2003 my
"mailbox-inspect-program" of my window-manager (fvwm95)
sees always a message from "Mail System Internal Data"
with the subject "DON'T DELETE THIS MESSAGE -- FOLDER INTERNAL DATA"
in /var/spool/mail/kummert where I get my new mails
(via pop3) from.

Does anyone know if this is intended behaviour? Is it possible
to turn it off?

Best regards,
Holger

Translation problems (needing fixes in the source)

Hello,

On Feb. 16. I reported some translation-problems with current mahogany
from CVS. These seem to have been lost. (I didn't got an answer and
an "cvs update" still shows the problems...)

So I opened Bug-Tracker cases for that in hope to have fixes in the
upcoming 0.65. (I hope this is ok).

Some problems (the second part) are quite minor. So I split the issues
in two bug cases.

The following msgids don't show up translated, some have additional problems:
(Got Bug-Nr. 746 in the Bugtracker [The text got awfully mangled (no
linebreaks) I added it a second time as attachment 746.txt])

# Doesn't get translated
# The quotes are set in the source instead of in the msgid
# The quotes used get crippeled on output on my linux-system
#: classes/MApplication.cpp:1171
#, c-format
msgid "Sent %lu messages from outbox %s."

# Doesn't get translated !
#: gui/wxThrDialog.cpp:196
msgid "Thread messages on &server"

# Doesn't get translated !
#: gui/wxThrDialog.cpp:197
msgid "Thread messages by &references only"

crash of called application -> crash Mahogany

I'm using AbiWord to read .doc attachment.
Today I clicked on one that AbiWord did not like:
it crashed.
Bad news: she took Mahogany down with her.

I have no idea what additional info might be useful,
but I'm keeping the email for reference.

Cheers,
Alan

enhancement: add folder to search results

It wd be great, if a search is incomplete,
to have an "add folder" option for the search.

Just an idea,

 Is this reproducible?

 Thanks,

Sorry not to have stated that:
I can repeat this crash reliably *if* I
use the HTML viewer.

I kept the msg and wd be happy to bounce it
to you if that's helpful.

Cheers,
Alan

Strange, this message should have always been there. Cclient (the library
used by M for mailbox/network access) uses it for its internal housekeeping
properties. In fact, the only situation in which it's _not_ going to be
present is when the folder is never empty when you open it with M, in other
words M won't add this pseudo message to an existing folder -- but it will
always create one if the folder is empty.

 Unfortunately not.

VZ

Entry-fields in dialog get too small after translation

Hello,

I've got a problem with one of the dialog-boxes of the "Create
Folder"-Wizard.
After translating the messages the entries for the file and name of the
folder get ridiciously small.

What are the rules behind this game ?
I tried different linebreaks for the german translation, but this doesn't
seem to even change (let alone solve) the problem.

Should there be done adjustements in the source-code to solve this ?

Updated german translation

Hello,

I've updated my mahogany to the latest copy from cvs today. I did a "make
mergecat" to update the msg-catalog and translated all the new strings.
The updated version of the German translation can be found at the "usual"
place: http://home.netsurf.de/martin.jost/

Unfortunately some more string now stay untranslated, although they _are_
translated in M.mo.
These are the locations and start of the strings:

#: gui/wxOptionsDlg.cpp:901
msgid ""
"If your SMTP server supports 8BITMIME ESMTP extension\n"

#: gui/wxOptionsDlg.cpp:924
msgid ""
"Some SMTP or NNTP servers require a user name/login.\n"

#: gui/wxOptionsDlg.cpp:949
msgid ""
"Final complication with SMTP authentification is that\n

#: gui/wxOptionsDlg.cpp:961
msgid ""
"\n"
"Mahogany can attempt to use either SSL or TLS to send\n"

#: gui/wxOptionsDlg.cpp:990
msgid ""
