folders on smb network shares - march snapshot

Hello,

I just updated to the march snapshot, and have discovered the following issue:

10.07.2012 21:00:52: Mail log: Can't open mailbox
\\SKELETOR\rick\home\RICKNET\rick\AppData\Mahogany\lists\dm-crypt: no such mailbox
10.07.2012 21:00:52: Could not open mailbox 'lists/dm-crypt'.

When the file clearly exists (pasting the line into explorer opens the file) and has worked with the 2008 snapshot.

Is this a bug, a problem with the ported configuration, or something else entirely?

I hope someone can help, as I'm somewhat worried about the changes the latest snapshot did to my
configuration, and whether going back to the old M.exe will safely recover my settings.

Best regards,

Rick

PS: I hope this list is still functional - it has become a tad silent over the years ;)

How to manage identities correctly?

I created two identities, each with their own POP3-server, SMTP-server,
email-adress and user name. What I wanted to achieve was to receive emails
from the two POP3 servers and sent to the two SMTP servers switchign to one
or the other identity. But that didn't work. It doesn't switch SMTP
servers. There can only one SMTP server be configured. Although if I open
the properties there is in each of the folder under network another server
configured it uses the one server that is configuered in Preferences. I
checked that in the log window (detailed mail transfer logging enabled).
And if I remove all server information in the Preferences and only have
two different SMTP servers in the properties of the two folders, it can not
send mail at all, but reports instead: Invalid host specifier:
/novalidate-cert Obviously it tried it with no host at all. So it takes the
SMTP host name from the general Preferences, but in order to maintain two
identitties I'd need it to use the SMTP host names ans user names from the
folder properties or from the identities. How do I achieve this?

Regards, Markus.

Does Mahogany support X.509 certificates

Can I attach a certificate to my account and sign my emails? Can I extract
the private keys from emais I receive, attach them to addresses in my
address book and send X.509 encrypted emails to those addreses? If Mahogany
supports that, how are those tasks done?

Regards, Markus.

drop down icon for viewers

Hello,

I use View->"Viewer to use" quite a lot, but while moving to choose
viewer to the right if mouse accidentally moves up, I am out of the
View menu and should have to start again. So I think a drop down
icon with viewers in a main toolbar would be nice.

make[2]: execvp: .src/configure: Permission denied

I am attempting to build Mahogany from trunk and getting an error which
I hope someone can explain.

The error is
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/local/share/Source/Ar/M/lib/dspam'
.src/configure CFLAGS=-fPIC --disable-shared \
	               --with-delivery-agent=/bin/false -C
make[2]: execvp: .src/configure: Permission denied

.src/configure should be the same as the configure script which I
already ran. I checked for filesystems with noexec option set, and
these files are not on such a filesystem.

I build wx-widgets release 2.9.1.
Attached is the log of 'configure' and 'make' output.

Thanks for any aide.

default application for opening pdf

Hello,

By default M opens pdf files with gimp. I found similar problem here -
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=539117
It seems wx uses gnome-vfs, which is deprecated and there is no
way to edit file associations of gnome-vfs with current gnome.
If it is so, it should probably use gvfs.

Quoting HTML Mails with Itemizations broken?

Hello List,

I recently received an email which M opened using the HTML viewer (HTML mail authored by Thunderbird
2/windows). It displayed fine.
Upon pressing reply (or forward) the quote was broken though, and only started after the first <li>,
everything before that did not appear in the quoted part.
I suppose the fix should be trivial once uncovered, probably just some kind of indentation issue or
something like that.

Would be nice if one of the devs could look into that or at least point out where I can find the source for the quote-logic.

Best Regards,

Rick

non 7 bit chars in URL

Hello,

How to highlight the following URL:
http://studento.vikis.lt/wiki/index.php/Žodynas ?

From matchurl.cpp:
/// checks a character to be a valid part of an URL
inline bool IsURLChar(char c)
{
   return IsAlnum(c) || IsURLMark(c) || IsURLReserved(c) || c == '%' || c == '#' ||
          c == '[' || c == ']';
}

Is there any RFC about it?

Regards,
Nerijus

cannot see attachment

I just sent a past M.exe to myself using Mahogany on one
machine, and when I look at it (no matter which viewer) in
my IMAP account I cannot see the attachment. If I look at
the raw message (ctrl-z), I can tell the attachment is
there. It has MIME header

    Content-Type: APPLICATION/X-MSDOWNLOAD; NAME=M.exe
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: BASE64
    Content-Disposition: ATTACHMENT; FILENAME=M.exe

If I look at the MIME sturcture (shift-ctrl-z),
it says it is Mulipart-Mixed by shows only the plain text
part (of 0 bytes).

Cheers,
Alan Isaac
