http://zeitlin.homeunix.com/cgi-bin/mbugs/show_bug.cgi?id=878 Summary: Dial-up network option freezes Mahogany under Windows Product: Mahogany Version: Daily Snapshot Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows 98 Status: NEW Severity: critical Priority: P3 Component: other AssignedTo: mahogany-developers <at> lists.sourceforge.net ReportedBy: len-l. <at> telus.net Choosing the Dial-up network option under the Network options preferences page causes Mahogany to freeze under Windows 98. This is due to an undocumented wxWindows feature. Under Windows wxDialUpManager::EnableAutoCheckOnlineStatus is called by wxDialUpManager::Create. When wxMApp::SetupOnlineManager explicity calls it again Mahogany locks up. I think it has something to do with wxWindows trying to unsuspend already active threads. The simple fix I made was to omit the call to EnableAutoCheckOnlineStatus in SetupOnlineManager when compiling Mahogany under Windows. This bug should probably be passed on to the wxWindows developers since it shows inconsistences between Windows and Unix versions of wxDialupManager as well as a problem with calling EnableAutoCheckOnlineStatus twice in a row under Windows. ------- You are receiving this mail because: -------(Continue reading)
OK. at present, all my mail comes through pop.iprimus.com.au and hotmail.com
I am on dialup with a 5 hour session limit (1 session a day generally)
I do not own any domains etc and hope to achieve the following without needing one. Tell me if I am wrong.
I use 2 email packages redundantly (one set to kill mail, one not).
I wish to setup an IMAP server on my Mandrake 9.2 box behind my IPTABLES firewall.
I think I need to setup *fetchmail* to get my mail from pop.iprimus.com.au.
I have installed the *Kolab server package (
Is this reasonable or have I forgotten something.
TIA
