Windows installation

Hi,

I'd like to use only the MIME parser and I would like to know if it is standalone or if it needed the other modules to work properly. Also, how do you build it on Windows? VC6, VC7, VC8?

Thanks a lot,

-Jeremie

You'll probably need IMF (which is the RFC 2822 (message format)
parser) located in src/low-level/imf and data-types in src/data-types.

I'll let Sebastien Marinier answer the question.

I can't say much about other platforms, but I managed to successfully build it
using vs 2005 express. I didn't compile a clr version but used the platform
sdk.

libetpan 0.46 released!

        Hi!

I wish you all a hot summer! As hot as this new release of libetpan -
version 0.46. It has great enhancements in the imap code, better
support along the way, and besides quite some code cleanup and lots of
bug fixes, especially for gnutls -- now how cool is that?!

I hope you have a nice time too, and we surely will read of each other
again in the future!

 So long,
Alfie

Submitted By: Didier Barvaux (dbarv)

Summary: IPv6 support

Initial Comment:
This patch adds IPv6 support to libEtPan!

* New configure option --enable-ipv6 that enables
IPv6 support for libEtPan!. IPv6 support is disabled
by default.

* Modification of mail_tcp_connect() in file
src/data-types/connect.c to use getaddrinfo() instead
of gethostbyname() if IPv6 is enabled.

* Modification of tcp_connect() in file
src/driver/interface/mailstorage_tools.c to use
getaddrinfo() instead of gethostbyname() if IPv6 is
enabled.

Patch is against 2006-07-14 CVS version. Patched
libEtPan! library has been successfully tested with
Sylpheed-Claws 2.3.0. I'm now able to connect to my
IMAP4 server with IPv6.

The problem is that subscription messages have reply-to set
to address you have to reply to to get subscribed and
list-post is set to address of the mailing-list.

No they don't. Reply-to: is set to whatever the sending
client set's it which makes it annoying to reply. Also why
would one need a Reply-to: set to a subscription address if
one is already subscribed... that makes no sense.
