Question about dns_verify and the return string

This is related to my previous thread, about metermaid, COS, etc..

I have one DNS zone with a bunch of different IPs defined and I want
to assign the IPs to a COS depending on the value of the A record
returned. Can this be done? Or do I need to split the COS out to
different zones?

For example, right now if I do "dig 236.184.221.84.sbl.spamhaus.org"
I'll get 127.0.0.2 back. Using dns_verify I've only been able to get
a Y/N answer, and not get at the return value itself. Can this be
accomplished?

From the ORIG_MAIL_ACCESS mapping I'm putting together the call would
look something like

ORIG_MAIL_ACCESS

!
! These COS do not get limits enforced

Sun Java Messaging on Linux cluster.

Hi All,
I want to establish JES environment (LDAP, Messaging, Access Manager, Web Server, Communication Suite
etc) on linux based AMD or Intel platform.

Can anyone guide me if I can run Sun JES Messaging and other services on Linux cluster and how. I dont see any
docs available at Sun site to configure Sun Messaging on Linux cluster.

Please shed some light.

Please be more specific as to what your goals are. The word "cluster"
is
used to mean a variety of different things. For example, are you
talking about failover
clustering (e.g., HA or High Availability)? And if so, which HA
framework? Or do
you mean "clustering" in the sense of distributed computing (e.g.,
Google's "linux
cluster")? Or clustering in the sense of a shared file system?

NEW Training Workshop Locations for JavaWorkshops.com's Sun Communications Suite 6 - USA and Canada!!!

Hello everyone :-) Happy Monday :-)

A quick note to let you know that I have doubled the locations for the
training classes we are now offering thru the end of this year in the USA and
Canada.

We decided to add new locations as we have received several emails from users
telling us their company is under travel restrictions, so I decided to bring
our instructor(s) to you instead :-)

We are also bringing ONE set of classes to Toronto, Canada for this fall - if
more is needed we will bring more.

If you are interested in attending any of these workshops via live WebEx
training, we will look into setting up remote servers for you to do the labs
and workshops from our partners at DedicatedSunServers.com and I will FedEx
you the manuals so you can go thru ANY of the courses from your home, office
or anywhere you have high speed internet. If there is enough demand we will
set a week long Webinar on the specific training requested.

Feel free to email / call me if you have any questions, concerns or are ready
to sign up :-)

Failed MX lookup - resolver problem?

I am building a new server in a solaris exclusive IP zone (VLANed) and
the server is not resolving outside MX records. It really does not
matter which external domain I am looking at. I have two other MTAs
working fine with the only difference being the involvement of the
solaris zone.

Snooping the TCP port 53 I get not traffic coming from the server.
Snooping UDP port 53 and i get a lookup for the ugldaphost server which
is successful and nothing else. nscd is disabled so I should see all
the requests.

Anyone have the silver bullet for this one.

Enclosed is the
1) software version
2) mail.log_current output
3) tcp_local_master debug output (connection refused error)
4) resolve.conf
5) dig mx output from the same server showing it does resolve dns
6) dialog used to generate the error.

RE: Sun Java Messaging on Linux cluster.

It would be failover cluster (High Availability).

Currently we are using 4 nodes Sun Cluster on Solaris 9 sparc platform. But
it is very expensive solution if we renew the support of sun servers (4 SFV
890), JES contract, Sun Cluster, VxVM & VxFS support.

Now we want to switch JES on RHEL environment with Intel/AMD servers using
Linux cluster (should be configured for high availability).
