Critical - Backup operation failed (Sun Java(tm) System Calendar Server)

Hello,

I have installed a new calendar server :

Sun Java(tm) System Calendar Server 6.3-2.01 (built Jul 10 2007)
SunOS calendar 5.10 Generic_127112-07 i86pc i386 i86pc

but before it goes into production, I reecive the following message :

In the store.log file, I have :

archive dirs.

Good morning,

We also often have this error message on our calendar server.
There is a bug reported for that and a patch is already out.
But we have not installed it yet.

Each time we got this error, transaction logs were not accumulated
(there is only one).
If you stop your server, do csdb check and check that number of
transaction log, it should be ok.

Currently we do not even restart the server as we have never seen
any problem.
Fortunately this error is not very frequent in our server.

I also get this error as well. I am running the same version as you.

I have not had any problems with transaction logs accumulation as per 
Benoit's response.

I have been running this patch level for 6.3 calendar server for about 
5months now with
no problems other than these spurious emails that arrive from time to time.

Other than this email that arrives periodically I have found this 
version of the calendar server
to be the most reliable I have so far ever come across. Since upgrading 
to 6.3 of calendar
and UWC, I have found that pretty much all of the stability issues in 
the calendar server
and UI bugs in UWC have pretty much disappeared.

I would be interested in knowing what the current T-Patch number for 
calendar 6.3 is?
Any ideas when it will be released? Currently I am running 121657-19.

Recently the same problem to us. The support tell us this bug was fixed 
in the patch121659-24 (Jan(16/2008)
After install this patch the error is not appearing.

This patch could not be found on sunsolve.sun.com
All I get is the 121658-19 (we are on x86) and this patch is already  
installed.

The patch that is mentioned is a T patch and you will need to obtain it 
through your support channel.

I am not sure when there will be a newer public patch released for 
calendar. Probably not too
far away now I would guess based on the release date of the last one

The 121658-19 is indeed the last one available on Sunsolve. The revision 
24 of this patch is still a T-Patch.
You will have to open a support case to get it.

Spam filter error

Good day,

I am testing:

Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-5.02 (built Oct 12 2007; 32bit)
libimta.so 6.3-5.02 (built 17:15:31, Oct 12 2007; 32bit)
SunOS lab-440-5.lab.cv.net 5.10 Generic_118833-24 sun4u sparc 
SUNW,Sun-Fire-V440

I noticed the below errors in mail.log_current, and was wondering what 
they meant. I have also seen these errors in the linux version of 
messaging server with spamassassin as well. I originally thought it was 
an issue with SA, but this config is using brightmail and cloudmark.
