FastMail, Opera, Cyrus work

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd point this out:

http://blog.fastmail.fm/2010/04/30/fastmail-fm-has-been-acquired-by-opera-software/
http://www.opera.com/press/releases/2010/04/30/

And assure you that nothing's going to change with my work
on Cyrus! In fact, a lot of the cross-datacentre and
optimisation for smaller meta (cyrus.cache lazy loading)
work has been aimed at the new infrastructure we want to
build at Opera, with replicas in different datacentre for
true geographic redundancy.

I'm going to keep working on the future branch code at
github, hoping to have lower bandwidth replication up
and running and a public "alpha" for everyone to play
with before I got to Oslo and visit the Opera team later
in May.

Regards,

Bron.

Cyrus SPAM folder creation

Hi everyone,

I'm new in cyrus-imapd configuration. I install it well and it seems to
work fine. But I have a doubt with one thing:

¿Is it possible to create a spam folder automatically when the mailbox
is created?

I don't find any information in the net about this. I hope someone can
explain how to do this.

Thanks,

Juan-Francisco Diez

Re: Cyrus SPAM folder creation

Try using something like this:

createonpost: 1
autocreateinboxfolders: Sent|Drafts|Spam|Trash
autosubscribeinboxfolders: Sent|Drafts|Spam|Trash

Cheers,

Of course that only works if you have the autocreate patches in your
cyrus-imapd installation.

Re: Cyrus SPAM folder creation

Is that I seee throw the net. But you need to compile the cyrus-imapd and for my enterprise it is not that we want to do because we had an automated repository wich use the rpm's pakages.

Is it possible to reach this goal without the autocreate patch?

Why this patch is not include with the cyrus-imapd package?
I think it can be a great feature for the new release of cyrus-imapd like the autosieve patch because in most of cases the users use mail filter to move spam into a folder.

postuser doesn't work?

Hi.
I've created a shared folder in my Cyrus server and I want to enable
message posting using LMTP to that folder. My configuration has
"postuser: kolab" and the folder has post permission enabled for kolab
user. This is not working. The only way that I got this working in
setting "anyone p" permission. As I understand the kolab user should
be used to post messages if I have "postuser: kolab" in imapd.conf.
Also I tried with "postman p" permission but nothing.

Any ideas?

Regards,
 Diego
