new Patch Manager needed (request for volunteer)

Sander Roobol, after doing a terrific job as Patch Manager for more
than a year, finally has to step down. He just got swamped with some
other committments.

Thank you for everything, Sander!

These will be tough shoes to fill. But I'm hoping someone will step
up: it's an important role, we have really grown to depend on the
Patch Manager to keep things organized.

Since we often see multiple volunteers when a call like this goes out
-- which warms the cockles of my heart, by the way -- let's give until
Thursday for responses to come in, before making any decision. It may
be that someone with particularly relevant skills or experience
volunteers. (It might also be that Patch Management is divisible,
though I tend to think that's less true of this role than of others.)

Below are:

   1. A description of the PM role that I just checked into HACKING,

   2. A list of pending patches that Sander Roobol sent me. This
list is a good place to start for whoever picks up the role.

Here's 1:

   The "Patch Manager" Role:

Subversion usually has a Patch Manager, whose job is to watch the dev <at>

[PATCH] German translation

Hi Folks,

here's my first go at a German translation for Subversion. It's about 50%
complete, so I think it's time to get some feedback before running off into
the wrong direction. Sending this to dev and user, because people on both
lists were shouting that they are willing to help with the translation.

Cheers

I just uploaded an updated dev package that includes the libssl import
libraries and the zlib static library (in the lib/neon directory). The
new checksum is

latest viewcvs on SVN repository, with SVN URLs

Someone mentioned on #svn channel yesterday that the latest viewcvs
could handle SVN repositories URLs and was no longer restricted to a
local filesystem.

Since I am still looking for a workaround to the blocker bug:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=895294&group_id=18760&atid=118760

I decided to give it a shot, updated everything, and replaced my
svn_roots entry:
svn_roots = radiant.svn: /mnt/d/svn/radiant.svn
by
svn_roots = radiant.svn: https://zerowing.idsoftware.com:666/radiant

And you can now see the error viewsvn is reporting at:

I hope somebody (who I suspect was Ben Collins-Sussman) noted that the
code was very experimental like I asked somebody (who I suspect was
Ben Collins-Sussman) to. I also hope you realize how incredibly
(painfully, even) slow some actions are when using remote access. If
you're playing with this unfinished feature, it's almost not worth my
time to help you. But it's Friday, and I'm feeling kind. :-)

I still don't know what's causing this problem, and I can't seem to
reproduce it myself (at least, not with enscript disabled).

The svn_ra ViewCVS module implements no prompting auth callbacks. If
creds aren't cached, ViewCVS has no way to get at them. So if your

OpenPSA 1.9.0 Released - Open Source Management Software for Consultancies

OpenPSA 1.9.0 Released - Open Source Management Software for Consultancies

POZNAN, May 8th 2004 -- Nemein has released the first Open Source
licensed version of the OpenPSA suite. OpenPSA is a management software
package for consultancies including project tracking, CRM, help desk,
group calendaring and document management functionalities.

The web-based OpenPSA suite was originally developed in 2001 under name
Nemein.Net. The name was changed to OpenPSA as the application was moved
to Open Source licensing.

The OpenPSA is suitable for consultancies and service organizations
ranging from 1 to 400 users. The software package is now available in
English, Finnish and Italian, and it is easy to translate to other
languages. Support is available from the OpenPSA community, and
commercially from Nemein.

In addition to regular corporate usage, the OpenPSA also supports the
possibility to provide the system as a hosted Application Service
Provider solution. The software can be configured easily to support the
service provider's brand image with colors and logos.

OpenPSA 1.9.0 is available from http://www.openpsa.org/download/

OpenPSA runs on the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) platform using
the Midgard Framework. Midgard is an Open Source Content Management
Framework powering thousands of sites ranging from simple corporate
intranets to major eGovernment portals.

Development of the OpenPSA package is coordinated in the Tigris.org Open

[PATCH] German translation, take 2

Hi Folks,

Michael Süss and me proudly present the german translation for subversion. I
hope that this time the mime-type of the patch is correct. We are eagerly
awaiting comments.

The patch includes two files, de.po which is of course, the dictionary, plus
a teminology file, that we like to include in the subversion repository as
well. We think the terminology is important, because there are always
several possibilities to translate things and we'd like to keep the wording
consistent and encourage future translators to use the same terminology.
It's not so easy to do this, because the original is sometimes inconsistent
or misleading. Maybe a terminology file for english wouldn't be such a bad
idea too ;-)
We marked some (three) translations as fuzzy, because nothing we could think
of made sense...

Cheers
-Lübbe

Norwegian (Bokmål - nb.po/no.po) translation: preview

Hi,

This is a draft of the Norwegian (Bokmål) translations for the subversion
package.

Norwegians: Please, review the file and hunt down typos and other nasty
trolls.

I will work on things like column lengths (=> 80 etc) and other
formatting issues the next two or three days.. ..and deal with feedback
from reviewers.

Some of the refs:
*Norske Språk (Kunnskapsforlagets skrivestue - Tanum, synonymordbok
   etc.)
  *Some common sense

The name of the file is nb.po (Norwegian Bokmål) but a link with the name
no.po (Norwegian) should be made (linked to nb.po) when running "make
locale-gnu-pot".

kfogel, sussmann and/or anyone else who cares:
-May I have commit access to subversion/po/ please? Currently, my
"various" places to commit is probably (I'm not 100% sure because it
varies with my status within the Subversion project and the weather):
    doc,
    packages/win32-innosetup

Well, I agree to your 'various' including 'po files' so that you are able to
maintain the norwegian translation. (And given the bad weather here imagine
what you could have gotten if you would have asked last week :-)

Erik.

Could you explain the difference between the nb and no locales?

(forgot to ask in the mail before)
