How do I force a special (user id of a) gpg key

Hello

... to be used by gpg, if I have several ones.

I have 2 pgp keys in the secure ring, an old one and a new one. Now I want to
force exmh/gpg to use the new one.
Any ideas.
I always get a chooser, with the list of the 2 keys to choose from.
I tried to include a header in the draft, but that won't work.

Bis dann
Klaus

It seems to work for me.

I define my preferred key as "default-key" in my gnupg options file.

I seem to recall that you have to call it "options" instead of
"gpg.conf" if you want exmh to recognize it.

If I want to use a different key for a special purpose, I create a
separate keyring directory with a different definition in the options
file, and set $GNUPGHOME to that directory before starting exmh.

Script to invoke Apple Mail.app from within exmh

Hi,

I am a long-time exmh user (and big fan of it), even on Mac OSX now.
But from time to time I want to open a message in Apple's Mail.app.
An applescript and instructions on how to achieve this are available
at [1].

If other users have Mac OSX specific Exmh enhancements, I'd be glad
to learn more about it.

Thanks in advance,
  Marc Baaden

Update: faces-related segmentation fault on Mac OSX

Hi,

as I mentioned previously on this list, activating faces in Exmh on
Mac OSX leads to
a segmentation fault. I am currently trying to debug this and have
found the culprit. It is in faces.tcl, line 396:

set image [image create photo -file $facefile -palette $faces(palette)]

so it seems to be some problem with the Img library and the photo option
(if I change photo to xpm, there is no more segfault.. but no image
either)

Being very tcl-ignorant, I would appreciate any help or suggestion what
can be done about this, like eg installing a specific version of tcl or
of the Img library. Currently I am using wish from Fink and Img from
MacOSX. You can see the detailed crashlog with library versions here:
[1].

Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions,
Marc

Running exmh with Tk/Aqua.. unreadable buttons

Hi again,

in my quest to make exmh run on MacOSX I am currently trying the Aqua
port of Tcl/Tk (which doesn't have the faces segfault problem).
However one of the most annoying 'features' is that I can't read most
of the buttons, as they are rounded and eat much of the text.
Is there any exmh resource that allows me to add some 'space' to the
button text so that I can read them again? (changing the font doesn't
help as the buttons resize accordingly) Or maybe another approach?

Thanks very much in advance,
  Marc Baaden

NB: here is a screenshot to convince you that it's really not usable as
is..

RE: Script to invoke Apple Mail.app from within exmh

Hi Marc:

Thanks much for this script. I look forward to trying it out on my
PowerBook
G4 as soon as it is back from repairs. Like you, I have been using exmh
2.7.2/nmh 1.2 on Mac OS X (in my case 10.4.9). I think I also observed
the problem you described -- the labels not displaying properly on the
buttons in Aqua Tcl/Tk. I got around this by using an X version of
Tcl/Tk, installed as a fink package. It is not as pretty as the Aqua
version but does display properly and runs faces without a segmentation
fault.

I have a question for you about displaying attachments in exmh on Mac OS
X. I have only been successful in getting my .mailcap file to run
antiword to display MS WORD files as flat text inline. Have you been
able to figure out how to get the mailcap file to spawn PowerPoint and
Excel when these types of files are attached to an email?

Thanks again for sharing the Mail.app script!

Re: Script to invoke Apple Mail.app from within exmh

Hi Matthew,

concerning the faces problem, I actually had the inverse problem of
what you describe. It works fine with Aqua Tcl/Tk but crashes with
fink. I could however solve this issue by recompiling tkimg with
explicit reference to the fink libraries and include files, so this
is now working.

With the Aqua version I have the problem of not being able to read
the buttons (see my previous mail on this list). Did you solve that
issue?

Concerning attachments, I must admit that I never actually wanted to be
able to spawn Powerpoint or Excel from within exmh. I have a procmail
recipe running that automatically files all attachments (like Excel and
Powerpoint) into a specific folder. So if an attachment from an email
is interesting (as in is not unsollicited spam), I just go to that
folder and open the file.

For Word documents I do indeed much appreciate the antiword inline
display which 99% of the time is sufficient to get the relevant
information.

So as answer to your question, I don't know how you'd need to modify
your mailcap file. But I guess you'd just have to get the application
type description (something like application/vndms-powerpoint and
application/vndms-excel) and add a line to the .mailcap file. From what
I see in a previous .mailcap that I used under linux, I had the
following lines:
