I see the same behavior (and I'm now using 2.5).

How to turn-off coloring in message bodies

I [finally] upgraded myself to v2.5 from 2.3.1.

I'd like to disable the coloring of the message bodies, but I don't see
anything [obvious] on any of the Preferences windows, and the "What's New"
doesn't appear to have anything either.

upgrade problems

Hi all.

After a couple of years of being cut off from the list and development,
I've returned am I'm in the process of trying to upgrade from 2.0.3
to 2.5 and I'm running into several issues.

1) I was using the unseenwin as my "icon" for exmh, but I can't seem to
get it to work, all I get is the bitmap, which will not open up the
main window.

2) I tried to use Tcl/Tk 8.4a4 (on Sparc/Solaris 2.6), but wish8.4 would crash
with on a
strncasecmp.

3) I would get strange and sudden window resizings.

Most of the problem stopped when I dropped to Tcl/Tk8.0.
Any pointers or ideas???

Sorry if these have been previously discussed, but for
some reason I stopped receiving exmh-users mail.

Thanks

Copy and paste problems with Gnome

I recently moved from an Alpha system running DEC UNIX and CDE to an
ix86 box running FreeBSD and Gnome. Since then I have had lots of
problems with copying from an exmh window to a gnome-terminal or into
my editor, XEmacs.

The problem is not consistent. It seem that sometimes it works and
other times it simply fails. I often get the message "Selection
retrieval failed".

Has anyone seen this problem and is there any solution/work-around?
It's really annoying!

Re: Copy and paste problems with Gnome

gnome-terminal has known problems with copy-n-paste. Use xterm instead ?

change folder -> new current message is "randomly chosen"

This behaviour has been driving me nuts for ages...

I change to a new folder, and instead of simply showing me the last
few messages in the FTOC window, sometimes it shows the last read
message (not so bad)), but more often that not it seems to choose a
message at random within that folder and display it.

This is highly irritating. Is there any way to stop this ugly
behaviour?

What I'd like is to have it work so that it always displays the last
few messages in the FTOC window (or the messages around the last one
seen), and then either (a) display no message, (b) display the last
seen message, (d) display the next new message, or (d) display the
first unread message.

Also, I use a detached folder display window (long display), it has
some weird quirks, among them:

- the scroll mouse does not work at all like it does with the main
  display windows.

- when a folder is expanded to display the sub-folders, the window
(often unnecessarily) scrolls to hide many of the other folders.

- when the subfolder display is collapsed again, the windows isn't
re-adjusted to diaplay "all possible contents" (ie, it does not
scroll back to the top again). Very annoying.

(I'm using exmh 2.4 that came with redhat 7.2).
