www4mail at szs.net will not respond to surnet.ru addresses

Hello accmailers ...

Requests from surnet.ru email addresses have been
causing us some difficulties recently. Typically,
numerous large binary files have been rejected at the
SMTP stage and bounced back to us, resulting in an
unnecessary load on our server.

Starting now, www4mail at szs.net will not respond to
requests from surnet.ru email addresses.

We regret the inconvenience to our surnet.ru users, but
it is also important that we manage the server
effectively, to ensure continued use by as many people
as possible.

Here is the list of mail servers that do not accept
mail from www4mail`at`szs.net reliably --
* All Yahoo servers
* com.sa
* maul.ru
* post.su
* surnet.ru

Other mail servers currently failing, but still accepted
by www4mail`at`szs.net -
* isac.gov.in
* sws.co.jp
* upr.edu.cu

Hi again

Where is the plus sign on the keyboard that I should use or can I just copy
and paste the plus
sing from the help file and just delete all before or after it so I can use
it with the string?

Post Usenet News By Email

Hi all,

I have need of posting Usenet news by email and I can add custom headers
in my email client (Pegasus Mail) easily. I wrote a small Tcl script to
let me do this trivial task, which you can get here:
http://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/newspost

I have set up newspost<at>accmaild.org as an open access service for the
benefit of those who need or want to post to Usenet without the web.
Until the time comes to restrict it, I'll avoid restricting it in any way.
 Bounces are rarely generated, so even if the spammers find the address we
should be okay. We'll only have trouble if it gets abused, in typical
modern Internet fashion, though the entire message including RFC 2821
trace fields is distributed to Usenet.

If you want to use this, just send your valid RFC 1036 Usenet news message
to newspost<at>accmaild.org. You have, for example, to include at least
the Newsgroups: line to list the destination newsgroups among the headers
of your message using your email client.

Hope you find it useful.

See also http://www.bananasplit.info/ , which has another gateway like
this, using the perl mail2news script.

Cheers,
Sabahattin

If you are using www4mail, there is no need to put
anything before the URL.

Just request the search URL, followed by your
query ...

Example:
http://www.google.com/search?as_epq=insect+ecology

For a full explanation of how to build the query,
request
    help google
from www4mail`at`szs.net

The position of the plus character on the keyboard
depends on your language, geographical location and
type of computer. It is not fixed.

I do not understand the remainder of your question!
What help file? What string?
What are you trying to do?

HI, I'm a new user of accmail, but it appears that I already need some
specific help.
You write in your letter for new subscribers (article 5. WEB DOCUMENTS
AS EMAIL ATTACHMENTS)

=====================================
"Hypertext links (and links to images) in the page appear as
check-boxes.
To retrieve a linked resource, select its check-box and then (in the
'WWW4MAIL OPTIONS' box at the foot of the web page) click on the 'Get
Selected Document(s)' button to make a new email request to www4mail."

I follow these instructions a few times, but in reply only get ERROR
400. Please help me to resolve the situation.

Thanks!

Ertai

Comparing your script to the bananasplit.info method, I do not see a
way to include a newsgroups header if the email client doesn't support
custom headers or return address munging (to avoid spambots). Have I
missed something? If not, do you intend to add such features in the
future?

For example, in the good ole BBS days (I had an Internet-by-Email
access via a Fidonet BBS), I could put an extra header line (such as
the To: address) at the top of the email body, leave a couple of line
spaces after the header line, and the Internet Gateway software would
pick up the header lines from the message body and include them in the
headers. In this case, perhaps a couple of lines would do the job,
such as;

Newsgroups: alt.kids.who.eat.Oscar-Meyer.hotdogs
x-real-address: weeble7591-at-gmail-dot-com
