Re: CGServer Won't Stop Using Terminal

Your idea sure sounded good, but it appears (maybe I'm wrong?) that closestucksockets parameter does not
apply to a Mac OSX platform.

The only parameter I've changed is ulimit, and I have no idea if my settings are adequate for the current
1,800 users:

  ulimit -d 1048576
  ulimit -c 200000

Re: CGServer Won't Stop Using Terminal

Thanks for additional information Juergen. This is new territory for me. Looking at the startup script our
OSX machine, there are a couple parameters specified:

${APPDIRECTORY}/CGServer --Base ${BASEDIRECTORY} --Daemon ${SUPPLPARAMS} \

You have suggested that closeStuckSockets might overcome our problem with CGServer not shutting down
elegantly. Perhaps useNonBlockingSockets might be used in conjunction or as an alternative?

I'm wondering if anyone else, particularly OSX users have tried implementing any of the optional
parameters? I'm always looking for ways of improving the performance of our server without sacrificing stability.

Re: CGServer Won't Stop Using Terminal

hi,

you can change the SUPPLPARAMS="" to

SUPPLPARAMS="--DefaultStackSize 131072 --useNonBlockingSockets
--closeStuckSockets --CreateTempFilesDirectly 10"
for example. (these are the parameters i use on fedora)

Yes. Better to 5.3.13.

AirSync accounts on mobile devices will need to re-synchronize to the
server; CalDAV accounts in iCal will need to be re-created. Both during
upgrade and rollback process.

iphone calendar

Hello. Im running 5.3.13 on windows 2003 server R2. I have two issues
that I cant seem to resolve to save my life.
1) Subscribers of lists seem to occasionally disappear for no reason. No
mail bounces etc, they are just gone one day.
2) iPhone calendaring isnt reliable. Some of my users are just fine, but
I cant synch my calendar to save my life, and we seem to be doing
exactly the same things.

Any pointers appreciated!
bob

I have a vague recollection that 5.4
http://www.communigate.com/cgatepro/History54.html

fixes iPhone calendaring issues.

Thanks

Re: Calendar and dates before 1.1.1971

i hope, the development team can fix this incorrect behavior in 5.4. i hope the problem with new timestamps
will not lead to more, i mean more essential, problems. it would be nice. when communigate will fix the
problem i have posted for about two years.

Bob,

5.4 is likely on ftp.communigate.com.

Keep in mind, however, that it is still in development and is not yet considered a "stable" release.
