Sorry if I am asking something obvious, but I only found some 2002 posts about the MIME type text/enriched which didn't offer any solution. I am very interested, because I got quite a few e-mails lately with that. Hi all, Is there any reason why I suddenly can no longer send email with Becky! 2? It downloads email just fine. I can read it, sort it, delete it. I just can't send it anymore. For instance, are any error messages displayed? Are you certain about your SMTP settings? Try using telnet to access your mail server. Perhaps they have started blocking out bound port 25 traffic and are now requiring use of the submission port instead (port 587 with authentication). A protocol error occurred. The following statement is the error message returned from the server. 550 sugarfoot_99@... no such user here I get this message no matter the address. I've used Becky for years and haven't changed any settings. This problem started about 4 or 5 days ago and I can't figure it out. okay, edited to add: I think it's fixed now. My local IP has sold their high speed to another IP and I changed the SMTP to the new IP name and now it seems to be working. I've sent and received several test emails to myself and all seem to be where I expected them to be. The POP3 is still the old name. Should I change that too?
