I got couple of points and only 1, the html display is related to Becky,
the rest is browser related.
If anyone has any better idea or solutions, please input.
Hope we all have an enjoyable Sunday. Thank you.
Not knowing what else to do in order to have Becky display emails in HTML
mode, I reluntantly installed back IE 11 on my windows 7 to provide
Becky with the IE component it need in order to display HTML.
Not a good dependancy way to display HTML, it makes Becky incomplete as
it lack this ability to do so in itself. This has been the case since
Becky was born some 20 years ago.
Else, I would have no need for any IE as IceDragon(Firfox) gave me all
that I need off a browser and more.
I wanted a portable version of Firefox and the standard Firefoxportable
bug me with the fact you have to run the firefoxportable.exe to then
call up settings and then run the real firefox.com.
IceDragon is the only firefox variant out there I found that was
compiled in such that is a self-contain portable version within its own
immediate folder structure, meaning icedragon.exe(which I renamed to
firefox.com so I can use the older version of Firemin as the latest
version is screwed, the author(which I suspect is not the real author) cannot
fix to allow user to select where the firefox.exe path is like the older
version but kept defaulting to the standard C drive installation path
and Firemin only recognise firefox.exe, thus my renmaing icedragon.exe
into firefox.exe and using the older version)
There is only one thing with any variant of Firfox that piss me off,
including IceDragon since it itself is really just a variant of Firefox,
that is the browser startup time is some 10 secs behind that of IE or
I mentioned Torch instead of Chrome because I think Torch is better
variant off Chrome, personally.
I would actually use Torch but I can't find the same Speeddial plugin
for it that I have been using in firefox. Non of the speeddial plugins
available in Chrome behave the same as the only I am using in Firefox
and there is no way to migrate from one to the other either.
The author josep.rio@... doesn't seem to want to work a version
for Chrome else I would start using Torch Browser as it load up
instantly on my pc and has better online streaming video rendering that
I found out the better video streaming part when I had to use my slow
Atom processor powerd Dell netbook trying to watch TVB news online.
In Firefox or Icedragon, video feed keep stopping but in Torch browser
it manage to feed video smoothly.
