Support for multiple IMAP in one account?
I am looking for a new email client and decided to take a look at BIM. I have been aware of this client for many years, but I never really had a chance to explore it.
My first impression is that I like it a lot. It has some nice advanced features that I think would be useful to me, especially around filtering.
However, there is one critical feature that I don't think it has. I need to be able to have a mailbox which consolidates all the mail from multiple accounts using IMAP.
If I understand BIM correctly, it only fully supports this function for POP and has limited support for IMAP. Using the method for adding IMAP accounts to another account's mailbox, for example, you can only use the profile for the parent account for composing new m
ail or replies. This would not work for me.
I think IMAP has become much more widespread then POP and IMAP also has multiple advantages over POP. So one of the key criteria I have in deciding which client to use is the depth of its IMAP support.
I like BIM a lot. It's a very fine piece of work. But unless I can have a way to consolidate my IMAP mail into one mailbox and be able to send and receive messages from that mailbox using the profile of the original account (or better yet be able to choose the profile at the message level at the time of composing) then I am not sure if I can use it.
Any information or thoughts about this is appreciated. Thank you!
