GPGServices 1.6a2: Decryption of files implemented. Please test :)

Hi there,

Moritz just pushed some more changes to GPGServices. See
http://gpgtools.lighthouseapp.com/projects/67607-gpgservices/tickets/21 for details.
Attached internal alpha version 2 to test it. Any feedback, contribution or help is very welcome.

Best regards, Alex

Debugging GPGTools

Hello,

Recently looking at PGP signed message cause a pop-up to appear with the following message :
OpenPGP Authentification Failed : No Data

I looked on your site but could not find any information regarding this problem.

It seems something changed preventing me to sign or verify messages.

MAC OS 10.6.7 Build 10J869
Mail Version 4.5 (1084)
Using Mail-Act-On 2.1.10

Please find enclosed the output of your debug script.

I was puzzled to see "* MacGPG2: 1" when I do not have any other GPG version installed.
So I installing gnupg2 but did not help (installed, restarted mail, tried, uninstalled).

Thank you for your time, hopefully this is a helplessly trivial problem :)

Thomas

Re: Debugging GPGTools

Hi John,

after a first look at the debug script output:

1. GPGMail doesn't seem to be installed
2. Your gpg1 installation seems to be broken (/opt/local/bin/gpg) - you should remove gpg1 or fix it
3. Your gpg2 installation seems to be fine

After a first look at the console output:

> Caught an exception trying to load GPGMail.mailbundle. The exception was:
> *** -[NSCFArray insertObject:atIndex:]: attempt to insert nil

Please send us the crash report
(/Users/jlc3/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/Mail_2011-04-15-101855_borkon.crash) and try to
remove/rename the file "~/Library/Preferences/org.gpgtools.gpgmail.plist".

<at> All: don't know what the crash is about

Best regards, Alex

Re: Debugging GPGTools

not sure if it relates (and I'm beginning to wonder about my base install of Mail) but this shows up in console
whenever I get an email:

4/15/11 12:17:03 PM	Mail[17839]	Could not initialize source from /Users/jlc3/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/Sources/A617B4F4-B27C-4374-BA9E-0F0856A716B4

sure enough, nothing there. Not sure what should be, but it's an empty directory.
