Re: cm 3 crashes on startup

looks like its crashing as its staring up. offhand i have no idea, is
the sndlib linking static or dynamic?
can start up no problems in osx 10.3.8 using a sndlib from may but
maybe something has changed -- ill try to rebuild using a more recent
sndlib and let you know

new backquote

I've completely re-implemented backquote in s7 -- this can
only cause trouble; please let me know of any problems.

Re: cm 3 crashes on startup

sndlib is linked static. I've followed the instructions in readme.text
and used the current sndlib
(ftp://ccrma-ftp.stanford.edu/pub/Lisp/sndlib.tar.gz).

sndlib's s7.h says:

#define S7_VERSION "1.59"
#define S7_DATE "7-June-10"

I don't know if this is of any help, but here's what cm outputs before
crashing:

JUCE v1.52.0
2010-07-02 00:00:34.378 cm[7908:10b] *** _NSAutoreleaseNoPool(): Object
0x151e4b0 of class NSThread autoreleased with no pool in place - just

Re: cm 3 crashes on startup

ok i see this now, ill have to poke around. (the autoreleaseing issue
is not the problem, its been there awhile and has to do with non-gui
juce)

version

calling all tarballs

if anyone has sndlib tarballs later than 1.56 9-May 10 but before
the lastest one (1.61 28-June-10) please let me know. i need to find
the earliest version that doesn work so i can try to figure out hat
the problem is do to and there is no tarball repository.

the sndlib that works is

#define S7_VERSION "1.56"
#define S7_DATE "9-May-10"

the sndlib that doesnt work for me is:

#define S7_VERSION "1.61"
#define S7_DATE "28-June-10"

Re: calling all tarballs

  sndlib version in snd11 works too :

	S7 Scheme 1.58 (2-June-10) (c) 2010 William Schottstaedt

so im looking for sndlib tarballs between 2-june and 2-july

spear <-> grace

working with grace and spear, i get format-problems:
spear-files seems to work with commas for decimals, grace with points.
has someone some idea how i can solve it?

thanks, johannes

Is this scheme's fault? (r5rs only allows dot for decimal point).
If so, you could read/write strings, change dots to commas,
or vice versa, then convert.
