I have a few YDL servers so I did actually build a local repo that I share over the network to make updating/installing easier. I have wondered whether terrasoft would sponsor a community based repo, or whether they would actually extend the amount of standard packages in their own repos (there are a lot of very commonly required packages that are missing fromYDL!). We have talked about a community based 'extras' repo, and that might still be in the works, not sure. We would certainly need community involvement for that endeavor to succeed. It's a lot of resources to commit and we're a small company, although due to recent events, there could be some exciting new things on the horizon - stay tuned on that one. WRT RPMForge, I do use their packages. Unfortunately, the legality of some of the packages fall into grey areas in some juristictions, and Terra Soft can't play any role in it for these reasons. However, if you are interested in RPMForge for YDL I strongly suggest you join the mailing list and even offer to volunteer to help build packages or test them. Many of the RPMForge folks also hang out on #centos and #centos-social (best to ask on -social since this really isn't CentOS related). For you Yanks out there, don't forget to vote on Tuesday!(Continue reading)

Excuse me, Erick. I should have read the details you posted more thoroughly. According to what is posted here: http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/support/hardware/apple-powermac- g5.shtml You should expect trouble with the ATI Radeon X800 XT graphics card. All the best... Hi Owen, Just so you know I'm still interested after all these years. Hardware: 1.67 GHz Powerbook G4 1G RAM. Available storage: 30G. Keep me posted regarding when testing begins. All the best... Does the curent release of YDL still require an Open System WEP rather than a shared key? While I can switch, I have a lot of devices to configure if so. Hi, I'm interested as well. My available machine: dual 2.5 GHz G5, 3 GB RAM, 500 GB storage, AirPort Extreme card, RME audio card. I use the machine for multimedia work, in particular audio (recording, editing, etc.) and sound synthesis. [ydl-gen] Error subscribing to powerstation-owners list

I tried to subscribe to the powerstation-owners list and got a “You must supply a valid email address” error, even though I entered on the subscription form the exact same address I used to successfully subscribe to this one. Has anyone else had this problem? I suspect there may be an error in the javascript that validates the form.
Sorry for the slightly off-topic message.
Regards,
Tom
