Sorry, for saying this so clearly, but it is not important for me,
if Klaus is aganist it, if this solves my problems.

I mentioned that problem for over two months now and had also a
conversation with Klaus, but nothing turned out, same as in every
other thead if ever read about this problem.

Possibly a stupid question but just to make sure: Has the Nexus as full
featured card got a strong signal from the sat? It's a currently known
problem with full featured card that they crash (especially on channel
change) If they don't have a signal at all or if the signal is weak.

I don't have that problem, but for possible future diagnostics: how can you find that out?

Good point though I doubt it because vdr 1.0.3 works still brilliant. I'll
check it anyway with the program that came with the card. Unfortunately,
it's a windows-software thus there is some hardware-work for me involved. Is
there any linux software to check the signal strenght?

Regards
Steffen

Yes, however 1.0.3 uses 0.9.4 drivers which don't have a problem with
missing / weak signal on the primary card.

Yes, certainly: dvbtune with -m after having tuned to the channel ( old
versions which work with 0.9.4 here http://www.linuxstb.org/dvbtune/ )

Unfortunately, to use it with current drivers you need to get it from CVS
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=50669

Try
su -c ./vdr
in your script.

With "weak" signal I mean if any transponder you tune to on the sat feed
shows a continuous bit error rate with dvbtune -m
( http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=50669 )

Fixed in the next version.

Is this the right sequence? I think three should be two and vice versa.

The Link you have posted (GET
/vdradmin.pl?action=prog_list&vdr_id=2#18508 HTTP/1.1) is illegal
because "action" is "aktion". However, i can't reproduce this, even
with the corrected link. What Browser do you use?

Tom.

I had this problem also with previous versions. Obviously, the patches
remove the pthread library in the main Makefile (in the vdr directory).
Add -lpthread to the list of libs (I am at work now, so I can't tell you
exactly where) and it will work.

DVD 0.3.3 and AC3 does not work with a52dec/ac3play/bitstreamout

Hallo,

unfortunatly the DVD plugin 0.3.3 seems to have a bug when it is used
together with Soundcards using any of these : a52dec / ac3play /
bitstreamout

The sound is "stuttering" (zerhackt).

Does anybody have an idea what this could be ?
With VDR 1.2.1 and AC3overDVB 0.1.2 it works fine. With Soundcards not !?

This happens on several systems, see also here :
http://www.vdrportal.de/board/thread.php?threadid=3546

My System :
SuSE 8.0 (standard)
VDR 1.2.1
DVB 11.06.03
Bitstreamout 0.46a
ac3play (not sure which version)
2 DVB-s card (1.6 + 1.3)

Greetings
Christian Jacobsen
