When an USB 3.0 device is plugged in an USB 2.0 controller it will work at USB 2.0 speeds. But if you have/put an USB 3.0 controller in your PC, it probably doesn't work at all before you install extra drivers. (Of course those extra drivers will be included in the original install by the manufacturer, and if you're lucky the drivers are also available on a CD or such.)
<at> Wouter: I'm willing to do whatever I can to help out Ubuntu.be in any possible way. It's my goal in live to keep fighting Microsoft, eventhough it's a long and difficult road. But then again, every system sold with Ubuntu instead of Windows means a new believer in this OS. Now I have found a supplier who delivers complete systems without any OS pre-installed. I work with this supplier for quite some time now, and their products are very reliable. Just let me know how I can help you guys out.

Eric

ubuntu-be-request@... schreef op di 31-05-2011 om 19:07 [+0000]:
Send ubuntu-be mailing list submissions to ubuntu-be@... To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-be or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to ubuntu-be-request@... You can reach the person managing the list at ubuntu-be-owner@... When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of ubuntu-be digest..."
