Belgian eID installation on Ubuntu 14.04

Hi

I figured out the steps to get my eID working on Ubuntu 14.04. I made an Askubuntu question about it and answered it myself: http://askubuntu.com/questions/571850/how-to-setup-belgian-eid-ubuntu-14-04/

I found three problems, maybe someone can help me with that?

1) The official documentation is really terrible. The worst page is this one: http://eid.belgium.be/nl/je_eid_gebruiken/de_eid-middleware_installeren/linux/. Does anybody have contacts at the eID department? I would like to propose a few changes to that page to make it more clear, but I don't know who to contact.

2) The official documentation on how to configure Google Chrome is outdated, and I think this configuration should/could be included in the middleware installer for Linux... Chrome also needs to be restarted while your card reader is connected for it to work.

3) I can't get the Google Chrome configuration to work on Ubuntu 14.04 32bit. https://code.google.com/p/eid-mw/wiki/ChromeLinux

open-source-enthousiastelingen.

Het programma 2015 vind je op
http://www.vormingplusmzw.be/search/site/digipinguins

Linux is the answer.
gebruiksvriendelijkheid bewijst Ubuntu Linux.
gebruikersdata overzetten
sessie 3: verkenning van Unity (bureaublad-omgeving), aanpassen van
instellingen (configuratiepaneel) en installatie van software
(softwarecentrum, softwarebronnen, ...)
sessie 4: online hulp leren zoeken, EHBO, systeemgereedschap,
bestandsstructuur, terminalvenster
Meebrengen: je eigen laptop (XP, Vista, Windows7/8), lege USB-stick van min.
2 GB, externe HD met vooraf gebackupte gebruikersdata (foto's, documenten,
...),

[Fwd: [FOSDEM] Call for participation: lightning talks and stands]

In case anybody wants to organise an Ubuntu booth...

Mvg,

Subject: [FOSDEM] Call for participation: lightning talks and stands
Date: 2014-09-19 18:47:51 GMT

We now invite proposals for lightning talks and stands.

There is still time to submit main track presentations. The deadline for
proposing developer rooms has now passed. Please see our previous call
for participation for more information on submitting main track
proposals.

Lightning talks

Lighting talks are short — 15 minutes — talks on a wide variety of
topics. Anyone who has something interesting to say about an open source
topic can apply. We particularly encourage topics that do not fit in any
of the developer rooms.

Proposals for lightning talks should be submitted using Pentabarf:

https://penta.fosdem.org/submission/FOSDEM15

Please be sure to select "lightning talks" in the "track" field.

Questions or remarks? Contact us at lightningtalks@...

Stands

FOSDEM offers open source projects the opportunity to display their work
during the event. At their stand, a project can share information, demo
software, sell merchandise, give away goodies, and so on, and personally
interact with the visitors.

What we offer:

- one 180x80cm table, positioned in one of the buildings with developer
rooms, for the entire duration of the conference. In some cases, a
second table may be possible, if you have a good reason to need two.
- two chairs per table
- one power socket type C/E (if you require adapters or additional
  sockets, please bring them yourself)
- fast uplink shared wireless Internet access

Further practical considerations:

- The offer for stands is open to open source projects and communities
- There is no cost or fee for the stands
- The stand should be occupied by at least two people for the duration
  of the conference.

Submission details:

Send your request via email to stands@... Please include at
least the following information:

- Project name
- Stand description
- Project URLs
- Your name and relation to the project
- Why should FOSDEM accept this proposal?
- Optionally, if requesting two tables, motivation for the second table

Questions or remarks? Contact us at stands@...

Key dates:

- 1 October
  * deadline for main track proposals
  * accepted developer rooms announced
- 20 November
  * deadline for stands and lightning talks
- 15 December
  * accepted stands and lightning talks announced

Kind regards,

Wynke Stulemeijer.

Re: Eventbox Limburg

Hey Wouter,

Grtz,
Bill

Hey all

it's been a while since I've been active and by the pace this is going, it's not going to change soon.

I do however still have about half of the Ubuntu Limburg Eventbox laying around. I'm not sure if there are people still attending events in limburg, but if so: I'd love to get those boxes out of the way (my dorm is to small for all of them).

In a couple of months I'm moving out, so I'd like to make sure these boxes are in a safe spot by that time..

Kind regards

                        change soon.</div>
                      <div><br></div>
<div>I do however still have about half of the
Ubuntu Limburg Eventbox laying around. I'm not
sure if there are people still attending events
in limburg, but if so: I'd love to get those
boxes out of the way (my dorm is to small for
                        all of them).</div>
                      <div><br></div>
<div>In a couple of months I'm moving out, so I'd
like to make sure these boxes are in a safe spot
                        by that time..</div>
                      <div><br></div>
                      <div>Kind regards</div>
