Correction: I was able to reproduce the problem with kernel 2.6.23 eventually
(after two days of activity).

I should note that I've spoken with "riel" on IRC and he told me to prepare
tcpdump or Ethereal dumps of the connection before and after the problem, and
send it to netdev@... . So that's what I'm going to do.

Asterisk simple plan

Hi,
I know how to write an extension which enables the caller to press a digit and do something. How can I make an extension which enables the caller to press a digit and then press another one, like a second cycle...
For example, the caller presses digit 1, listen playback and then need to press 1 again or * to go back.
Any idea?

Eran,
I think that the best way is to download the asterisk book (future of
telephony) and read it or at least browse it. The answer to your question is
there. it is an excellent book.
in oder words: RTFM.

Meir.

An IVR is essentially a dialplan context with WaitExten on the s
priority.

Just Goto a different context in the action of the extension.

Re: Asterisk simple plan

It's next to me and working with it all the time. It's an excellent book. Everything I know came from this book. Anyway, I can't find my answer there, thats why I'm asking.

Re: linux supported usb soundcard ?

All those cheap-o (sub 100 NIS) are supported by snd-usb-audio kernel
module (from ALSA), including the USB cards from Creative.

However, not all the "advanced" features are supported (enhanced
mixers, AC-3, full MIDI, etc), so it really depends per card.

Thanks,
Hetz

[OT] A couple of links about Google maps

In continuation to the previous thread about mapping:

1. According to this blog, Google maps adds 2.5m resolution for all of Israel (among other countries in the area):
http://google-latlong.blogspot.com/2007/10/where-in-world-is-bonus-edition-answers.html

2. An article titled "How Google Maps the World":
http://www.technologyreview.com/read_article.aspx?id=19524&ch=infotech&a=f
(requires free registration).

Haven't read (2) yet but it sounds relevant (and interesting to the participants) to the former discussion.

Enjoy,

Good client to use as bittorrent seed

Hi all,

I have an image I would like to push from a server. Due to the fact that
it might have some demand, I would rather do it via bittorrent rather
than http. I am wondering what would be the best software to use as a
bittorrent client for that purpose. Obviously, it has to be headless,
and logging facilities would be most welcome, preferably straight to syslog.

I realize that usual bittorrent program are client oriented, which is
why I'm asking :-)

I'm currently looking into apache2_mod_bt
(http://www.crackerjack.net/mod_bt/). If anyone has any experience with
it, please let me know.

Thanks,
Shachar
