wine font changes system look and feel

I'd like to brought to wider attention the bug
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=693180

What's the matter?

If you install wine, it brings as a dependency wine-tahoma font, that is
then included in system wide fonts list. This causes the font to be used
by applications like Firefox when pages require tahoma. As the font is
badly looking, it makes many things to look terrible.

Some of us think, this font should be made specific for the wine
application and not used system wide as it breaks the look and feel of too
many things.

Please make your voice to be heard on that.

Rescue Chroot how to get service * commands to run in Rawhide

Rescue DVD chroot used to run service* commands up to F14 iirc.

Trying to rescue a couple of Rawhide KVM Guests

Booting the guests from F17-DVD (i386\x86_64 as case may be) >
troubleshoot > rescue installed system

chroot --userspec=root:root /mnt/sysimage

Simple things as "service autofs\netfs\gpm start"
cannot be done: "Running in chroot, ignoring request"

Cannot be booted normally due to recent cryptsetup upgrade.
No "single\rd.debug" doesn't get that far.
So it has to be the DVD.

I just commented to add a persistent workaround to the bug.

F17 FAIL - long live F16

I did a fresh install of 64 bit F17 from the DVD on omen.com yesterday.
I was a bit alarmed at all the funny screens before Anaconda got the
X server running.

The install did not offer to check the DVD for errors.
Apparently there weren't as the install proceeded without problems.

The biggest problem is on F17 seems to be networking. The omen.com
machine talks to the internet using a PCI card. The motherboard
gigabit ethernet talks to the local 192.168.1 net. As with F16 the
brain damaged network connections GUI would not let me set
the local net without specifying a gateway. This required me to
manually edit the scripts before masquerading could work.
Overnight the local net died and I decided to revert to the
previously installed F16.

There actually *is* a mediacheck option. Unfortunately, it's hidden under the
Troubleshooting menu, which is bad since media checking is something people
should do *before* running into trouble. I filed
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=809663 to make mediacheck the
default on install discs. Also see
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel/2012-May/167466.html (referred
to in comment 10) which in particular would put mediacheck in the top level,
default for installs and non-default for lives. There was no response to this.
These menu changes should be trivial and I'd hope something like them could be
implemented for F18.

So...you're saying that F17 behaves exactly the same as F16 except
something went wrong.

This is very useful information and I shall work on fixing something
right away!

Robyn has been promising to see this gets done, but oddly, she's been
