problems with aclocal

I have encountered some compiltation problem, which told me that
SDL macros are missing. So i asked the developer of the program
where these macros should be, and he responded that they should
reside in /usr/share/aclocal/sdl.m4.

But i have another directory /usr/share/aclocal-1.9 NOT containing
this file and generally differing from the above, containing fewer files.

I have this file, so what is wrong with aclocal? As the aclocal call
during package building comes from a predefined macro, how
can i change the aclocal call so that it picks up that file?

Can anybody please shed some light on this, would be really nice ...

Thanks in Advance

I reinstalled libxklavier11-3.1-1mdv2007.1 and set up a new account. Everything
seems to work, so I'm closing this bug report.

I've tracked down the configuration that triggers the bug. It's triggered by
adding a Keyboard Indicator applet to a panel. It only occurs with
libxklavier11-3.1-1mdv2007.1, not earlier versions.

Feedback: Gnome digi camera support. Nice

Hi,

I am rather minimalist, so I try to remove as many rpm without breaking
dependencies. With that mindset, I use Gnome because it more than fits
my needs and its no xp canada dry.
Anyway, I just bought a Canon A540 in the dark today, with faith in all
the crap I had to install and had no use of. Eager as always to test
cooker, I took five shots and plugged the usb cable in the pc.
Sure enough, the gthumb --import-photos popped up and pics were stored
in a snap. I thought I got a movie, but I will read the manual(s) before
asking where it went ;-)

Now I understand why the cooker mailing list traffic is so low despite
the release. Everything works too well. Maybe like Rome, some infamous
commercial OSes got their flaws because testers fell asleep and
developers got bored waiting for sharp users. Sharp users of course
moved somewhere else.

Be careful out there, but as far as I am concerned, I was as usual
really impressed by my cooker box.

PS: Of course, the cam comes with an application CD for windows and osx.
How hard for them would it be to include The gimp or something?

Jeff Johnson - RPM author fired - Where does this leave us?

Well, seems like people got tired of this fella and other distributions refuse
to update to newer releases..

Where does this leave us?

Wow. A simple ls showed that the avi movies were downloaded too.
Time to retire ;-)
