[Bug 18957] [subversion-repos] New: Unknown FS type 'fsfs' when creating repository

User ID: 75309, 14 bugs reported (3 fixed, 4 duplicate, 1 invalid), 34 comments.

http://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=18957

      Distribution: 10.2-official
Summary: Unknown FS type 'fsfs' when creating repository
           Product: subversion-repos
           Version: 1.1.4-1mdk
          Platform: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: normal
         Component: program
        AssignedTo: ben <at> reser.org
        ReportedBy: manuellopezibanez <at> yahoo.es

"svnadmin create" gives a "Unknown FS type 'fsfs'" error when trying to create
a
FSFS repository.

Why libsvn_fs_fs1 is not required by subversion-repos?
Why is it in a separate package at all?

BTW, shouldn't "svnadmin --version" report which backend modules are available?

Ha. Doesn't explain why an earlier version of cdrecord works fine, regardless
of kernel version; will stick with the Free Software for now, I think!

I've had to revert to an older version (cdrecord-2.01-0.a27.2mdk which works

on my drive. Cannot fathom where the problem lies; it isn't permissions, it
isn't APIC - have tried various settings of both, made no difference.

I don't think it's entirely the drive; cdrecord-2.01-0.a27.2mdk works just
fine, on any of the 2.6 kernels so far. This is a duplicate of bug 14753.

FIxed in cooker, the packages are no longer splitted.

From what I remember, svnadmin requires either libsvn_fs_fs1 or libsvn_fs_bdb1.

It could issue some warning, like "can't find nvidia modules, reverting
to free driver", or something like that...

Why not just "modinfo" for it, just like you asked me to do? That way it
wouldn't matter where the module gets installed.

(off-topic) Going out on vacations

To whom it may concern, I'm going out on vacations and flying for a
family trip starting October 03, which will probably make it very hard
to me to have internet access. If someone tries to contact me about a
bug I posted, or anything else, please, wait until I get back on October
17. I'll unsubscribe from the mailing lists on sunday night, but my
e-mails will be working meanwhile, so drop me a line if you need. See
you later!

Early seeders

I think the idea was that early seeders will keep their bittorrents
going after their download is complete.
However, I see in the distributed copies adding and then disappearing.
