I meant "no new Mandrake kernel package release is planned".
Most 2.6.11.* updates have been used in our latest kernel package.
But I'm not a member of the kernel team, so I don't have any decision
power about that.

I don't succeed to find an exact reference, but I remember that a changelog 
for some 2.6.11-rcX mentioned an additional call to netif_poll_enable as a 
means to solve the very problem I mentioned, namely the interrupt being taken 
in poll.. And indeed, r8169.c of 2.6.11 calls netif_poll_enable 3 times, 
whereas r8169.c of 2.6.10-3.mm.12mdk calls netif_poll_enable only twice.

your description at the very bottom gives kern numbers.
I would suggest you grab the latest off Wiki which is 2005LErc2 and if 
you have problems, make it cooker current - it's pretty darn solid 
imho.  remember to set your easy urpmi to cooker and check that the word 
""cooker"" is in each line in step 3 before executing it.   Use Azureus 
instead of "bittorrent" - it's a hell of a lot faster, and open 6969 and 
6881-6889 ports if you use a firewall.

AFAIK we don't have this patch:
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-kernel&m=110920588504333&w=2
which adds a netif_poll_enable but doesn't seem to fix the problem you describe.
you probably need to revert DN65 to apply this. If you can verify it fixes the problem i will change it.

In the "Options" panel, the word Général is the only french word of xpp and it 
is written in utf8 and shown in latin1 as "Général". 
I have not found this word in the sources. Perhaps its comes from cups, but I 
have not found how. 

Xpp should be i18n-ized with gettext and po files. 
I can help to do it.
