xmkmf / imake

Can someone check if /usr/X11R6/bin/xmkmf is an empty file on x86 as well?
I only have my ibook with me now and this is just an empty file, while it
be a shell script calling imake.

(this is with X 4.4-0.902.3mdk)

The kernel config has option REISERFS_CHECK set, which makes operations
"substantially slower"
also, REISERFS_PROC_INFO is set, can probably remove it for the end state kernel?

[Bug 7253] [turba] New: examples for address books should be commented out

http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=7253

Summary: examples for address books should be commented out
           Product: turba
           Version: 1.2.1-2mdk
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: program
        AssignedTo: ghibo <at> mandrakesoft.com
        ReportedBy: mr <at> uue.org

see /var/www/html/horde/turba/config/sources.php: there are adressbooks which
want to connect to local ldap or local sql database. As those need configuration
and do not work but only confuse the users by producing error messages, they
should be all commented out.

A virus (Worm.SCO.A) was found.

tsk tsk tsk - someone should really be ashamed to have sent a virus to this
list. Obviously a windows running trator :)

kuickshow not installed by default

Mdk 9.2 and Mdk 10 beta1

When I want to browse pictures, Gimp is called...
- when the PC is few years old, it is necessary to wait, wait, wait...
- the viewer in the window is not usable with pictures of 3, 4, 5 Mpixels
  as it is usual now.
- kuickshow is perfect for this use, il allows to go to the next/previous
picture quickly, zoom, turn by quarter and so on. IMHO, this clever
software _must_ be installed by default with kde.

Network Install: Can't find a linux ext2 floppy in first floppy drive

I've got an error trying to install cooker on a Gateway ALR720 system.

I boot from network.img floppy, when it asks for the second floppy it says a
linux ext2 floppy is not in the drive - after inserting the
network_drivers.img floppy disk.

On logs console I get:

unsetting automatic
have to insmod floppy
needs floppy
           error no such device
           failed
warning, insmod failed (floppy (null)) (1)
mounting /dev/fd0 on /tmp/floppy as type ext2
mount failed: No such device or address

On kern messages:

inserting floppy driver for 2.6.2-0.rc2.1mdkBOOT
floppy0: no floppy controllers found

This is the first time I've tried cooker on this system so I don't know if
it's ever worked.

This is the fourth list I get that has gotten something, 2 linux
specific, 2 others with many Outlook X-Mailer tags in the
headers.

Spamassassin has tossed about 10-20 a day into*/Junk/* in the last
couple days as well.

Smoooooch my Linux box! 8-)
