There have been two changes to the lsbsi
recently, and a release:
- a change to a newer version of curses
which fixes gcc 3.2 problems and also
configures the bool type correctly -
the latter was actually a significant
problem; a patch for this has been available
for a long time, and all distros use it,
but this solution avoids my either
(a) having to swallow a monsterous patchball
or (b) troll through said patchball and
pick and choose what's necessary. So
now we're running with ncurses 5.3 in the si.
- investiaged Marvin's problem with the xlibs
not being found. The lsbsi had the correct
entry in /etc/ld.so.conf, but was not running
ldconfig. I've done that manually before
generating the tarball; I'll add it to the
xml instructions soon.
With those two changes, the 1.2 lsbsi is
"released" on ia32 and Itanium. Mainly this
means I put the current tarballs in the
released_1.2 directory on freestandards and
tagged the cvs with "lsbsi-1_2". I'm not planning
to make any major release announcements or other
noise as my real target it 1.3, and I wanted to
