Zero

RE: Sorry, assembly of the needed header file: modversions.h"
was not specified during configuration of the kernel sources.
Withing the section LOADABLE MODULE SUPPORT:
[*] Set version information on all module symbols
which is necessary to specify the assembly of modeversions.h
Consequently compiling of the drivers will fail at the next step.
Properly configuring your sources may be aided by for RPM using

You must install and configure a kernel-source-2.4.21-27.0.1.EL package before running
./build_module

I'll send you some details separately

EOLO

RE: /lib/modules/2.6.8.1-10mdk/build: No such file or directory. Stop.

You must First install the package kernel-source-2.6.8.1-10mdk
before compiling.

Also, the slmodem software should be unpacked in a Linux partition, not within `/mnt/windows/

Of course. This is exactly the information which I needed. The modem
part is CXT21 by Conexant.
Thus you need the Linuxant HSF driver.
The instructions follow and you do not need to search further for what
you will need to know: distribution Mandrake, kernel 2.6.8.1-12mdk, modem
type HSF, processor i686

If you do not already know, find out in your ModemData.txt if your modem is of
type HSF or of type HCF.
In the following, HxF stands for the one to be used.
Note down your distribution, your processor, and your kernel (shown in the
 System Information section of ModemData.txt).
-Go to http://www.linuxant.com/drivers
-Find the HxF menu in the left part of the screen.
-Read README.
-Read INSTALLATION.
-Click DOWNLOAD.
-Accept conditions.
-Find text: "You can download HxF modem packages from the driver
download page." and click on that link.
-Since you have noted your distribution, your processor, and your kernel
(shown in the System Information section of ModemData.txt), identify the

Re: Problem with AMR Modem / Fedora Core 3

Oops, sorry ! I had missed it (slamr_FC3-kv_2.6.9-1.tar.gz)
Marv, is your slamr.ko just the result of the compilation from
slmodem-2.9.9b?
If so I can trivially make the same for 2.6.10-1.770
