KDE 3.5.11?

Hi all,

I know we ended the discussion about keeping KDE 3.5.10 a long time ago, but
I just heard about some unofficial KDE 3.5 branch, called KDE Trinity.
They've released
a 3.5.11 of KDE 3, and I think they're trying to port it to use Qt4.
Is it possible that we could
update our KDE to their KDE 3.5.11? maybe? Or should we just stick
with what we have?

GCC needs version updating...

Hi all,

Can someone update the version of GCC on BLFS to match LFS's?
As far as I know, the build instructions should be the same.

Bounces on blfs-book ?

Anybody else getting a lot of bounces from blfs-book, resulting in
delivery becoming disabled ? I seem to get them every few days. No
visible problems with the other lists.

ssl certs - not found by epiphany-2.30

(yeah, I know the book is still using gnome-2.28). In openssl we put
the certs in
/etc/ssl/ca-bundle.crt. I haven't yet identified what else is using
these, but epiphany is looking for
 /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt and
/etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt. I can fix this by passing
--with-ca-file=/etc/ssl/ca-bundle.crt but ti makes me wonder if we are
putting them in the wrong place.

Any pointers to investigating this ? At the moment I'm unclear is
it's us or the epiphany devs who are mistaken (or, perhaps, some
distros use one name, and others use a different name).

I get it too occasionally. Don't know why. Slow DNS perhaps?

I don't think so. Fedora just happens to put them in
/etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt, but I believe Debian/Ubuntu does
something different. If you build wget, you'll see a different
default. I think you just have to make sure the packages use the certs
where you put them.

I think the latter. :)

Thanks, Dan. I'll stick with telling epiphany where to look.

It happens to me too. Maybe there is some issue over at that list that
needs urgent fixing?

I don't know what that would be. Right now the mail queue has 55
outstanding messages, including one to me at my gmail address.

Mailman/postfix takes care of most of the problems. Some of the errors
I see are:

Host or domain name not found.
Connection timed out (most)
user over quota

A lot are spam. For example when the sender is MAILER-DAEMON.

I just noticed one instance of:

(host server.kompiuterist.lt[79.98.29.226] said: 451 4.3.5 Server
configuration problem (in reply to RCPT TO command))
