How is it obsolete? If the new fangled Ctrl-f menu automatically
disappeared after a few seconds, I would whole-heartedly agree. Are the
developers dropping support for it?

It's now a core part of the browser but for some reason they didn't
remove the extension yet.

I thought we were going to keep alsa at the same version included
in the kernel (in this case 2.6.8.1).

At least that's why I thought Igor downgraded Alsa not too long
ago.
