LFS-5.1 release announcement

The Linux From Scratch community is proud to announce the release of
LFS-5.1.  This patch release contains many bug fixes and package
upgrades since LFS-5.0.  In particular, this release features the Linux
kernel 2.4.26, GNU C Library (glibc) 2.3.3 and the GNU Compiler
Collection (gcc) 3.3.3. The book's layout has also been improved,
leading to enhanced readability and improved clarity.

BLFS-5.1-pre1 release

The Linux From Scratch community is pleased to announce the release of
BLFS-5.1pre1. Release 5.1 will feature XFree86-4.4.0 or Xorg-6.7.0, KDE
3.2.2, GNOME 2.6.1, Apache 2.0.49 and OpenOffice 1.1.1 plus a wide
variety of current libraries and support programs. All to provide you
with the best applications to install on top of your LFS 5.1 system to
create customized web servers, desktops and/or multimedia workstations.

This will be our only pre-release prior to releasing 5.1, so report
those nagging nitpicks soon.
