Well, I've found the time to do it myself (and was happy to see it
doesn't take long at all). I'll upload the RPMs if you like me to...

OK, I sort of have to bute my tongue. I don't know who is supporting
RH9. I am not, but maybe someone who is a former or current RH user can
say what they would like to do.

But I think in general, RH users are moving to support Fedroa in the future.

Fellow RH9 users, now's the time to speak up! :)

I'd have already switched to FC1, but Ximian Connector doesn't support
it. [OT: Does anyone know if Novell/Ximian is planning to support Fedora
at all? Now that Novell also bought SuSE, I fear the worst...]

They said yes, just as they'll keep providing KDE.
Though only time will tell.

It's probably enough to build with mach if you have a non-free archive.

I'm supporting JPackage on a RH9 based system here for our many hundreds
of users, will that do?

 :-)

I'm setting up a vanilla RH9 box for build testing of in-house OSS stuff
anyway.

We just need one or two big mirrors to volunteer to dl from katu, and
then the rest can dl from them. This (obvious solution though it is)
would limit the number of connections to katu. Why aren't there more
`major' mirrors out there? I know some are against it because Java is

OK sorry about posting to the wrong list and everything. But I don't
think there was any harm done and I think I have my email back on track now.

Apologies again.

rebuild of jta rpm fails

Hi,

I am trying to rebuild the jta nosrc rpm and am having a problem I can't
figure out. It keeps saying that:

/usr/lib/jvm/java/bin/jar: No such file or directory

This directory is indeed not available, but it appears to me that it
should be part of the jpackage-utils rpm, but is not. What do I need to
do to create it or is there another RPM to install?

Thanks
David
