Ten-Tec Jupiter

Hello,

I've committed some upgrades for the TT Jupiter into a new branch
'aa6e-jupieter'. I hope that's the right way to make them available?

That's a good way, Martin, especially if you want others to test it firt
before committing it to master or the stable branch.

I will probably push 1.2.15.2 out this weekend. I have an update to
hiqsdr and will apply that and release.

Re: 1.2.15.2 available

I updated pkgsrc (from 1.2.15.1). For your amusement, here are the
ccache stats, with a cache that had been used for 1.2.15.1:

cache hit (direct) 29
cache hit (preprocessed) 577
cache miss 31

'make check' passed after installing the new version. (I remember some
issues with load paths before, but I think the issue is picking up
installed libs.)

I didn't know they were ready, Martin, as they are in their own branch.
I assumed that once you were satisified you would merge them into master
and I could cherry-pick them into the Hamlib-1.2.15 branch.

I can do a 1.2.15.3 at any time. :-)

Re: 1.2.15.2 available

I suppose I could have done that, but my gitfu is pretty minimal. I
will be doing some more work with the Jupiter, so maybe we can wait a
bit for the merge.

Just give me the word and I'll handle the Git stuff. :-)

pointing accuracy, better than 0.01 deg

Hi guys,

EME and 10m dishes.

Laser EME etc, we need GOOD accuracy.

I've checked the GS232 and most other rotator software interfaces.

Are there any, better than 0.1 deg pointing accuracy?

So far, only the VK5DJ (not supported by hamlib) interface,
at least uses it's 16 bit unsigned maths to do 0.01 deg.
You can set the elevation or azimuth to NNN.NN ie. 2 digits after
the decimal point.

Keep Smiling
