Dear all, just want to inform you that while emerging freefem++-3.3 I had a problem in the generation of the documentation due to the missing gensymb.sty latex file. Emerging texlive-latexextra fixed the problem. Best, Marco

Hi Bjoern, The blast-db package is actually a bit of a problem precisely because of the issue you ran into and I'll probably remove it soon. Instead, you should use the update_blastdb.pl script that comes with ncbi-tools (/usr/share/doc/ncbi-tools*/html/blast/update_blastdb.pl) to download the databases and keep them updated. So what I intend to do in a future ncbi-tools release is move this script into /usr/bin and write a tutorial on how to use it, linked from the ncbi-tools elog output. Hi, I notice that a move is underway to move infiniband-related stuff from sys-cluster to sys-infiniband. The move appears to be incomplete as the ebuilds still refer to dependencies in sys-cluster. Will the ebuilds be updated to reflect the move soon? The move seems like a good idea, and I'm not in a rush. When the move is done, I'd like to test openib-1.4. Thanks, -bryan
