You could try QtiPlot.

hdf5 with mpi support

Hello,

Emerging hdf5 with mpi support requires mpich2 as default(?). Is it
possible to install hdf5 with my own local install of openmpi?

Alternatively, if I install the masked version (x86) of openmpi, would
hdf5 (with mpi) use openmpi?

Thanks,

->USE="mpi hlapi szip" emerge -vp hdf5

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Re: hdf5 with mpi support

IIRC, I have successfully built HDF5 with openmpi more than 1.5yrs ago
(albeit, all manually installed). There is no reason for it not to work now.

Nice Prog and I think it could be the future, but today there are
seqfaults over and over. Sadly those you cannot easily reproduce.

This doesn't seem to be in the portage tree, but in the science overlay. Correct me if I'm wrong, but  I think this is what you meant.

Yes, you are perfectly right.

I just asked emerge -s if it knows scidavis, and forgot to look where
emerge had found it. Sorry for the desinformation.
