Compile issue with current CVS on Gentoo Linux

Hi Gnokii list

Not sure if this message got through yesterday but there is an issue
compiling the current CVS version of Gnokii on Gentoo Linux where it
doesn't automatically include the pthread library.

/opt/gnokii/gnokii/xgnokii/xgnokii.c:821: undefined reference to
`pthread_join'
xgnokii.o(.text+0x7fe0): In function `TopLevelWindow':
/opt/gnokii/gnokii/xgnokii/xgnokii.c:2256: undefined reference to
`pthread_create'
xgnokii_contacts.o(.text+0x8a5a): In function `QuitSaveCallback':
/opt/gnokii/gnokii/xgnokii/xgnokii_contacts.c:3016: undefined reference
to `pthread_join'
xgnokii_contacts.o(.text+0x8ac5): In function `QuitDontSaveCallback':
/opt/gnokii/gnokii/xgnokii/xgnokii_contacts.c:3030: undefined reference
to `pthread_join'

A simple work around is to manually add the pthread library to the
Makefile.global

So line 97 becomes

GTK_LIBS = -L/usr/lib -lgtk -lgdk -rdynamic -lgmodule -lglib -ldl
-lXi -lXext -lX11 -lm -lpthread

Kindest regards

Alex

nokia 6210 newbie question

Hi all,

I've got a working nokia 6210, I'm trying to talk to it, and having so
success but not much, does anyone know how to correctly set things up
for this phone to work correctly. My goal is to have it integrate with
Nagios. Its on a vodaphone network in the UK.

I was able to do a --getalarm once which worked, now everytime i try
something i end up getting

Error: Problem occured internal to model specific code.

I'm using Debian with gnokii 0.6.4, using dlr3p connection, and have
.gnokiirc in /root/

Does anyone have a working .gnokiirc i could look at? or point me in
the right direction please

nokia 6015i

Anyone know anything about this phone? I see a similar model number in
the code (6010), but it appears to be unsupported. Is it safe to add a list of
capabilities and see if it works? Or do I risk mucking up the phone?

Also what is the string after the model number, for example NPM-10?

gnokii gives this error on every command? Please show more debug log.

Problem reading SMS messages

HI,

I am using Nokia 6100 model to receive SMS messages using gnokii 0.6.4 version on Windows 2000,

When it receives message that was sent from other Nokia phones (3100, 6100 ) witch has Hebrew or Arabic interface

the message is not match to the original, as an Example if the message was “1123232323 97226491333 972542055590”

I receive “?1123232323 972” in “getsms” function.

When I send messages from Mobile Phones with English User Interface, I have no such problems

Please Help,

Thank You.

Boris Stein.

Could you post the debug output when reading such message here please? I
think we didn't test locale setting on win32 boxes.
