What is the Best GSM modem to Receive MMS/SMS?

Hi,

What is the best GSM modem (not phone) to receive MMS/SMS while it suppose to connect to the internet via GPRS with price below $100??

Gnokii can access GSM modem and can be configured to receive MMS right? Is there any documentation?

Thank you.

Gnokii cannot send or receive MMS currently.

krb5_init_context?

hi,
I am trying to set up smsd 0.6.0-40 for the first time on SUSE 9.1. I need to
use it with Postgres, so I say

smsd -m pq

(-u, -p, -d, and all other options are irrelevant, as you'll see...)
Then, I get the following:

smsd: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/smsd/libpq.so: undefined
symbol: krb5_init_context

What am I missing here? Kerberos support? I've got the Heimdal server
installed, if that means anything.
According to required dependencies

gnokii

they're all satisfied.

So, what should I do?

Thanks in advance.

It seems 6510 and compatibles (tested with my 6310) returns the same
error code for "invalid memory type" and "selected memory is empty".
This is the reason why you cannot add a new entry to an empty phonebook
when you specify --find-free. The committed into the cvs some minutes
ago.

I'll look into the other problems too.

This is exactly the same bug we have found in the nk6510 driver. When
the phonebook is empty, getphonebook fails with an "Invalid type of
memory." response. gnokii --writephonebook reads the entry to check
is it empty or not (and this check fails). Patch committed into the
cvs. Please check the cvs version.

The fix committed into the cvs some hours ago.

This is a long standing bug... :-( You can add -o (overwrite) or --find-free.

Why do you want to use the AT driver? It has some limitations (e.g.
no subentries, etc). Please try it again with

    model = 6310i
    port = bluetooth_address
    connection = bluetooth

There are a lot of nokia phones which will be broken if you want to
connect to them via irda. There are reports that 6100, 6610i, 7210,
7250i was broken. There's a good chance that 7250 will be broken too.

It seems this is an irda only problem, we got no reports that gnokii
break phones via cable.

This is the right button under the display in 6110. Thanks for spotting
this out, I added it to the FAQ.
