Re: Voyage Linux Experimental Release based on Debian Lenny
Hi all, Both disk persistency and PXE support in Live CD have been addressed. We suggest that users planning to use VL 0.6 should start testing it now, and report any bugs and your feedback. To recap, most notable changes in VL 0.6 are: 1. no more /rw and /ro. They are replaced by aufs, for /var/log and /var/tmp 2. based on (to-be-released) Debian Lenny 3. 2.6.26 kernel Regression tests is just started and feature request backlog in wiki is now being processed. Even though Debian Lenny has not been official released, VL 0.6.0 should be ready in the next few weeks and is served as a test drive. VL 0.6.1 is planned at the same time Debian Lenny is release. The updated distribution and Live CD are available in the same URL given below: Regards, Punky Punky Tse wrote: > After a long Olympic break, we are pleased to announce a new Voyage > Linux experimental release that is now based on Debian Lenny, which is > scheduled to roll out in the coming months. voyage with lighttpd
Hi, the instructions for getting thttpd working don't work anymore. Since php support is difficult to get in a modern version of thttpd, I went with lighthttpd. PHP support is built in, no fuss, nice deb packages, etc. I updated the wiki. Wifiadmin instructions coming next. Enjoy! http://wiki.voyage.hk/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=how_do_i_get_a_web_interface_with_php_support Sean

Voyage Linux on Alix3c3, help please
Hello,
I've only a 1Gb CF and a card reader, I have
downloaded a CF .img from http://www.yawarra.com.au/sw-osimages.php and
cloned on the CF using Physdiskwrite under
Windows and again dd command under debian, with no
success...
The system boot regularry and on the screen I can read:
GRUB Loading stage1.5.
Grub loading, please wait...
Uncompressing linux... Ok, booting the
kernel.
-
after the system hung up while...
now I will wait but I think the cf image is
corrupted.
How can I install Voyage on the CF?
Thanks,
Alf

Re: Voyage Linux on Alix3c3, help please
Also make sure that the MGMFT workaround option is turned off in the
Alix3 bios. It is probably already off by default unless you changed
it.

Re: Voyage Linux on Alix3c3, help please
Try switching the mastor/slave jumper. Some CF cards only work as
slave.

Re: Voyage Linux on Alix3c3, help please
hello, these are my news: 1) I cannot find where is in the BIOS the MGMFT workaround option (ALIX3C3 use Phoenix AwardBIOS) 2) my CF have not the master/slave option 3) if I attach a serial cable I can see on remote COM terminal all the boot regular, I can login etc etc.. but on the screen all stop after the GRUB loading... message 4) in the boot option I've added the Kernel command: console=tty0, and now I can see all the boot screen but it stop before the login (in the terminal still see the login and more...) My questions: 1) how can I have on screen the same output of my remote terminal? 2) can I install X windows on this board?
