module xbmc (version 10.1)

Dear people, dear maintainer of Xbmc,

I am trying to install module xbmcon a server I have build this weekend
with Lunar Linux. The bootstrap and configure process seems to be ok.
But make is giving an error:

gcc: error: unrecognized option
'--soname,../../../../../system/players/dvdplayer/libdvdnav-x86_64-linux.so'
make[1]: ***
[../../../../../system/players/dvdplayer/libdvdnav-x86_64-linux.so] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/usr/src/xbmc-10.1/xbmc/cores/dvdplayer/Codecs/libdvd'
make: *** [dvdpcodecs] Error 2
make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

I have checked the internet, but could not find a proper solution for it.
Can someone point me in the right direction? Should I look into my gcc
or de xbmc module?

And a request, speaking to the maintainer: any change there will be an
update to xbmc 11.0? I have succesfully build xbmc 11.0 eden by manual
install.

Have a nice day,
Marco

dovecot - serious bug

Version 2.1.4 of dovecot has a serious bug that breaks virtual users.
Version 2.1.5 contains the fix.

I would submit a patch but I have found that it takes way too long for
my submissions to be processed for that to be a useful direction.

Split moonbases from sofar, if you want it.

I've started an experiment to run with a split moonbase. Effectively,
I've cut moonbase into several distinct parts:

- core - this is what you'd get in an ISO image
- xorg - the base Xorg stack and most useful and common tools, drivers
- xfce - the entire xfce4 stack
- efl - the enlightenment desktop
- riffraff - uncategorized packages that I'm not yet deleting from any
of these trees
- deleted - I omitted about 2000 packages or so that moonbase has that I
currently do not care about.

I'm not doing this for everyone, just for myself. However, I'm not
keeping anything away from anyone else. I posted my git trees with all
these packages here:

http://foo-projects.org/git/

Using these package list is fairly easy. Create an emtpy folder, lunar
set MOONBASE `/path/to/that/folder` and then git clone the repo's that
you need in there. You could even use git externals to pull them all at
once if you wish to update against them.

Make sure you grab a copy of "aliases" too.

I'll take pull requests - send me an e-mail with a git pull request
telling me what the changes are and where I can pull them from, and I'll
be happy to merge other people's changes.

thinkpad x200: searching working kernel config 3.1.10

Perhaps there is Lunar Linux user with a working kernel config for the
stable kernel (3.1.10) for a Leneovo Thinkpad x200? I am looking for the
.config file to get some guidance. Every config I made stops the kernel
at init 3, without a prompt.

That would be great!
Cheers all,
