hm,
not a bad thought. if someone wants to update the template it sounds
like a good way forward.

The parkes branch i've started (but which is waiting on this
conversation and then some spare time) is at
bzr branch http+urllib://bzr.savannah.gnu.org/r/gnewsense/parkes

You'll notice its got 3 files not 1 - the names are fairly self
explanatory.

i've renamed the chromium entry to chromium-bsu. if you know which
versions are problematic please list them.

I agree, I meant to list it in my other email, but i must have missed
it.

i'm aware you are building a distro, but:

why should we remove these packages? you don't provide any links or
explanations about why they are problematic to this list.

ok, lets do it :)

Is there anything on that list not already on NONFSDG or in this email?
if so perhaps add it in.

I tend to agree. the way i built the list was a copy paste into a file,
then some shell magic to pull out the headings and list them. imo thats
almost the perfect way for it to work :)

In the case of firefox-3.0 its a new binary package, but for the same
browser with the same problems.

And if there is possibility to add to

The "Artistic License"

Preamble

The intent of this document is to state the conditions under which a Package
may be copied, such that the Copyright Holder maintains some semblance of
artistic control over the development of the package, while giving the users
of the package the right to use and distribute the Package in a more-or-less
customary fashion, plus the right to make reasonable modifications.

Definitions

"Package" refers to the collection of files distributed by the
Copyright Holder, and derivatives of that collection of files
     created through textual modification.

I have sent to the mailing list. And I deleted the records in the the List
of software that does not respect the Free System Distribution Guidelines.

Had not read it slowly. And I was thrilled to contribute. Thanks for the
guidelines let me know.

Introducing LibreWRT GNU+Linux

I was reminded that there's been no announcement of LibreWRT on gnu-linux-
libre, so here goes a short message...

LibreWRT is a completely free GNU+Linux distribution that targets embedded
systems such as the Ben Nanonote, ath9k-based WiFi routers, and other hardware
that respects your freedom.

LibreWRT was born in the hackspace provided the last LibrePlanet meeting, on
the principal that we need to be able to use all of the computers in our lives
in freedom (even the small ones like WiFi routers), and after failing to find
any other embedded GNU+Linux distribution that had user freedom as its primary
goal.

The project can be found at librewrt.org.

All are welcome!

Gmane
