Debian in Google Summer of Code 2010?

Hello everybody,

I was wondering about Debian's participation to the Google Summer of Code 2010.
There are 10 days left to apply as an organisation. Are the previous admins
volunteering for this year? Do you need some help?

Have a nice day,

Re: Debian in Google Summer of Code 2010?

Hi,

Of course we're participating :) I'm volunteering again this year. If
anyone else wants to help, welcome!
The application period does not start until March 8 ~12 noon PST /
19:00 UTC though.

Cheers

Arthur

Project on Google SoC

Respected Sir,

I would like to introduce myself as a 1st year student in Mathematics and Computer Science in Chennai Mathematical Institute. It would be of great pleasure if you kindly pay a little bit of your valuable time on the project I have planned to do in summer.
In general operating systems, the feature that I miss a lot is auto shut down. It should be convenient if there is a timer and the machine shuts down completely ( and with full safety ) after the certain period.
I know python, Haskell and a sufficient parts of bash script and operating systems.
Awaiting your reply,

Ratul Saha.
Student.
India.

I am not sure to understand what is your proposal.
For me,
sleep 30m && halt
does the job.

Are you familiar with 'man 8 shutdown'? Looks like no :-)
