Mikael,

I'm not sure if you are aware, but we have an svn archive setup for the debian 
portaudio package. http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-voip/portaudio

If you setup an account at http://alioth.debian.org, we can easily give you 
commit access and we can work together on the package and other voip packages 
as you seem to be good at providing help across the board.

Good catch. We have missed that one within the upstream tarball of 
kiax-0.8.4.tar.bz2 as found at SF. I will ask debian-legal for advise about 
iLBC but as a freeware license [1] it doesn't sound good enough even the

Well I think it is DFSG-compliant since at least the tarball name suggests 
that like dfsg.X.orig.tar.gz, although there should be a note about removed 
non-free files in copyright file or README.Debian I'm missing here ? 
That is what I think to do for  kiax-0.8.4 - to remove the bits not found in

Yes I know, and I think we'll need to add V19 as a separate source
package, since it isn't backward compatible with V18.1.

I'm still not sure why a new source _name_ is needed. A new binary name
and new source package version (with same name) should do IMHO. That'll
make it go into NEW as should.

The V18.1 of the source package is needed for building the V18.1 binary
packages. And we need to keep V18.1 in the distribution, since
some packages need it. Iaxclient for example isn't ported to V19
(yet). 

It isn't possible to have two source packages with the same name
in a Debian distribution at the same time, is it? Wouldn't the new
source package (V19) with a higher version replace the old (V18)?
