merkel.debian.org to be rebooted

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.

I'm upgrading the kernel on merkel, and afterwars it will be do fsck on it
filesystems.  It should be back in a few hours.

To see which services might become unavailable, if any, please consult

required and important maintenance procedure.

machines at UBC/ECE down

Hi,

our machines in Vancouver at UBC Electrical and Computer Engineering are
currently unreachable due to a fire in the building next door which
houses the uplink.

Scheduled hardware replacement

Hi,

the switch that wieck and schumann are connected to will be replaced by 
23:00 UTC tonight. Planned timeframe for this is ~30 minutes.
