Hi, I took the first e-mail address found on this page, so don't complain if
it went to the wrong address, because finding e-mail addresses isn't really
my job, since you're the ones who should keep the references correct. The
error is in the finnish version of the page:

This may confuse some people. Please put someone on the team (possibly the
people who are in charge of the finnish portion of the page) to fix it.
Thank you.

Packages

Hi,

I'm wondering when http://packages.debian.org is gonna come up again.

It's been a while since the compromise of the debian servers but packages.debian.org is still down.

thanks,

Pim

Yeah, the CD pages have a different layout that is missing the link to
the contact page and instead has the debian-cd list address on it. If
they don't like it on their list they might have to rethink that.

That is fixed now (in CVS at least) -- thanks for your mail. If you
find further similar problems like typos and such things it would though
be a good idea to contact debian-www <at> lists.debian.org instead. I though
understand that you don't want to search around and that the CD pages
don't make it easy to find that address....

Like everything in a Free Software project: When it's ready. All I can
tell you that it is worked on. To make you a little bit happy: The
version that will become online now will support non-i386 packages and
package translations too (at least from what I understand) and close
quite some bugreports....

 So long,

"Network install" broken link - instructions are not clear

Hi,
I'd like to report a broken link.
This is the first time I'm writing to you,
I hope I'm sending the message to the right address.

Here are the steps:
>From "http://www.debian.org/
select "Getting Debian" "Network install"

>From "http://www.debian.org/distrib/netinst"
select "Minimal CD"

>From "http://www.debian.org/CD/netinst/"
select "Official "testing" images"

It goes to the broken link:
http://gluck.debian.org/cdimage/testing/netinst/

However, I think that the instructions related to the network install
that are on the web site are not clear.
To start the Debian network setup is an easy task,
but the instructions make it very difficult.

If you are interested, I can try to write something easier
to understand.

Regards,
Giovanni

I am new to this business, Microsoft is unpleasant and annoying, but Debian
is not better at all.

You manage to write gbits of code, but the way you distribute your work is
stoneage.

No system, just chaos.

Jigdo lite ... mirrors ... nonus ... woody ...

No system, just chaos.

You do not have my support at all.

I am an electrical engineer with rather deep knowledge in software
developpement .

Pascal/Delphi/C++/Assembler .. learned at the school where Pascal was
invented.

All my professional life I had fights with software engineers and with
debian this is the same story.
Your thoughts are deep in the digital world and the result of your work is
only for the kind of people like yourself.
This is not for ordinary people. Microsoft has leared that in the last 10
years and with XP they developped a system that achieved maybe 80% of what a
usable system is supposed to be. It is my guess that Debian is about 10
years behind.

I will quit and forget about debian.

The empty line in the middle of the rewrite, is there a paragraph tag
missing, or was it inserted out of boredom?
