Bug#487630: SUCCESS after removal of 00tetex.cnf

Hi Hilmar,

Ok, the problem is I have no laptop, so I cannot do that ATM. If someone
else can build a new package, give it a test run and upload it fine.
Otherwise I will try to do it in 1 week or so when my laptop is back.

All the best for 2009

I have only a not-so-recent laptop. Building a TL package on that box
will be a pain. Aside from that I've no clue how to build the TL
packages ;-(

Bug#170477: xmltex: same here

Package: xmltex
Version: 1.9.debian.1-1
Followup-For: Bug #170477

I can also reproduce this bug with latest packages from unstable.
First I saw this bug while trying to build SystemTap Tapset Reference
for systemtap package, but I can also reproduce it with
http://www.tldp.org/authors/template/Sample-HOWTO.xml (after processing
with xsltproc), with both xmltex and pdfxmltex.

It is on amd64.

IMHO severity of this bug should be 'grave'.

Versions of packages xmltex depends on:
ii texlive-base-bin 2007.dfsg.2-4 TeX Live: Essential binaries
ii texlive-latex-base 2007.dfsg.1-4 TeX Live: Basic LaTeX packages

xmltex recommends no packages.

xmltex suggests no packages.

Ok, will try it ASAP.

Best wishes

Bug#510749: resume package (res.cls) has no-sell license

Package: texlive-latex-extra
Version: 2007-1
Severity: serious

The resume package (res.cls) contains a no-sell license. Will be removed
from upstream soon, and should be removed from Debian, too.

This is Ubuntu bug 313541

Indeed, there is (still, sigh) a problem. But I'm not sure that it's
still the same.

The difference to earlier "incarnations" of the problem is that back
then, pdfxmltex worked, while now both fail. What a progress...

> It is on amd64.

That shouldn't matter at all, since it's all about processing ASCII
files.

> IMHO severity of this bug should be 'grave'.

That sounds reasonable. However, either hardlz anyone is using xmltex -
otherwise the problem wouldn't have rotten in the BTS for 6 years. Or it
actually occurs only in special circumstances.

Anyway, I tried to reduce the Sample xml source until the error
dissappears, but it doesn't. It doesn't seem to have any connections to
actually using itemize:

If I press ENTER twice, I do get a dvi file which looks odd, it's

At this point, we need an expert in xmltex or fo processing or whatever;
none among the maintainers is one, I think.
