Well, something using pstriks need ps, ie PostScript. There are about
thausands of pages explaining pstricks, including books, and how it does
not work in dvi.

Simple using your favorite search machine would have helped.

It is impossible to repeat each and every triviality with each package.
There are usergroups, news, etc, ..

Ralf please close this bug, no need to keep it and you did the work.

Thanks

Many thanks for the work! The version of caption in TL 2008 is v3.1h,
hence the problem is solved in there. I'm marking this bug as "fixed
in upstream".

Can't see anything in the stable version related to this CVE
id.

What do you mean by you added them? Did you fix them? ;)

Hi Nico,

> Can't see anything in the stable version related to this CVE

Aemmm, I am slowly getting at it, you are speaking about TeX Live 2005.

Right, none of these are fixed in the 2005 packages.

I will see if I can look into that, the patches are here, but someone
(probably me if I find time) has to check that they apply to the current
sources of 2005 ...

Best wishes

Norbert

Bug#507365: "dh_installtex --flavor ..." doesn't work with recent debhelper

Bummer. I hate it when debhelper people just change things without
averting those who are writing dh_* scripts ...

Is it that hard to have a list of dh_* script authors somewhere and send
them a warning message!! This is already the second time something got
seriouly messed up.

> Fix attached.

Thanks a lot, I will incorporate it. But I guess I have to depend on
debhelper >= some version, right? And then it cannot go into testing,
and then I don't want to upload to unstable.

If all that is like I fear, why didn't debhelper people not upload to
experimental????

Best wishes

Probably, I'm not sure when the "options" parameter for init() appeared.

> If all that is like I fear, why didn't debhelper people not upload to
> experimental????

In all fairness, I encountered this with debhelper 7.1.0 which IS in
experimental.
The main reason I reported this was that it broke my build of "context"
with a very weird error (during "debian/rules binary"

	cp scripts/context/stubs/unix/* $(instbase)/usr/bin

"cp refused to copy thru dangling symlink" or the like)
which I traced back to dh_installtex not honouring its --flavor argument.
I just wanted do spare someone else the investigative effort :)

Cheers, Roderich
