No. THere will be no texinfo format, as suggested by Thomas Esser and
Karl Berry. texi2* use the (pdf)tex binaries as is without the format.
There is no texinfo format in either the teTeX nor TeX live
distribution.

BUt I wanted to discuss this with the submitter before closing the bug.

Added changelog entry:
  * New maintainer: Taking over from Josip Rodin <joy-packages <at> debian.org>
as he seems to have abandoned texinfo.

Also, I have added:
  * Acknowledge previous NMU (Closes: #267497, #259280)

New packages are on tug.org (in 10min from now)

sorry, I don't think I have _ever_ created seminar.sty from source :-}

I'd just write a script to edit all the files....

Hi Hilmar!

(Taking out all the others from this thread and only go to debian-tetex)

Taken a look.

True. I would ask the author, or assume they are GPL since they are in
the .orig.tar.gz from cm-super in GPL. And Mickael once mentioned that
he got the ok to distribute the files under GPL. (But maybe it was from
the .pl file he was talking)

I attach the quick hack manpage I wrote.

W: pfb2t1c2pfb source: out-of-date-standards-version 3.6.1

should be 3.6.1.2 (or was it 2.1)

New texinfo packages fixing CAN-2005-3011 (tmp file race)

Dear Frank!

Please grab a current texinfo_4.8-1 from the tug server.

The current packages include everything as before, plus the fix for
CAN-2005-3011 from Henry Jensen (bug #328365).

The package is lintian clean, builds in a sid/pbuilder, and installs on
sid, sid+tetex/experimental, sid+texlive.

Best wishes

Norbert

cm-super and cm-super-x11 ready for upload, version 0.3.3-1 (!!)

Dear Mickael! Hi all!

I have rebuild a new version of the cm-super package.

There are no severe changes, only that cm-super now Suggests
pfb2t1c2pfb, a package hopefully coming into Debian (binary of the
conversion routine).

Furthermore, MOST IMPORTANT, I have cleaned up the debian/changelog and
ship this version as
	cm-super_0.3.3-1
so debian version -1!! Consequence: install has to be done by hand or
explicit version:
	apt-get install cm-super=0.3.3-1 cm-super-x11=0.3.3-1

This should be the first upload to Debian/unstable.

It is lintian clean aside the strange man with Umlaut errors, and builds
in pbuilder/sid.

Please consider this version for an upload to Debian. Thanks a lot.
Grab it as usual at
	deb http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/ cm-super/
	deb-src http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/ cm-super/

Best wishes

Norbert

The attached versions is based on your fonts.scale but registers the
fonts also for iso10646-1. I am not sure if koi8-r would also be useful.
In principle it would be interesting to add more descriptive names than
sfrm1000 etc. I don't know why type1inst does not find/use FamilyName
here. In other cases it does use it, and mkfontscale uses in this case,
too.

BTW, I am currently a bit drawn appart between mkfontscale and type1inst
for the creation of fonts.scale files. I was working on mk-tex-fontpack
today and used Univers with it many weights as test. While type1inst
recognized all weights, mkfontscale decided medium and bold are enough.
On the other hand type1inst registers iso8859-1 only. Maybe I wil need a
commandline switch to choose between the two ...

I've gone ahead and made a bin-NMU for ppc to fix this bug since it
was affecting me... I've no idea why it was being caused originally,
unfortunatly.

Will do it from now on, of course. Can I still ask you for sponsoring
cm-super packages, or should I look for someone else?
